Losing you

Chris drove home with Maddy fast asleep in the front seat,
He was in deep thought thinking about how he had fucked up.
I should have found her earlier he thought,
Then maybe she wouldn't be so hurt.
He looked down at her.
Her little hands had burn marks on the back of them,
Her wrists and ankles were cut up and red from the leather straps that were tigh
tied round them.
And one each side of her forehead she had two circular burns from the Electric shock treatment.
Nothing could defy how guilty Chris felt,
He could break down at the wheel easily, however her held it back as he did not want yo wake Maddy,
He wanted her to sleep more than anything, she was worn out and it's better to be sleeping than staying up all night in shock.
And also braking down into heaps of tears while driving would be dangerous for everyone.
Chris had enough of drama for one day and so did Madelyn.

-Chris's POV-

Maddy began to toss and turn in her sleep,
Her breath was shaky,
I looked down sadly and reach my hands over to rubber her arm to attempt on calming the poor soul.
It didn't work,
I took her hand and held it softly.
Her breathing became back to normal again and she fell back asleep.

We reached home.
I got out of the car,
"M..Maddy" I whispered shaking her slightly,
She awoke and weakly sat up covering her eyes from the sunset,
"H..huh?" She yawned
"Where home sweetie" I said sadly
She looked down sadly and walked past me to the front door.
I gulped and followed her,
I unlocked the door and she stood still staring in shock into the house.
"Madelyn?"
She turned round to look back at the drive way,
"Maddy"
Her head shot back to me,
I took her small hand and brung her inside and then to my and hugged her tightly,
She hesitates to grab ahold and hug back.
"Chwis?"
"Right here"
"Can I have a bath? A cold one?"
I nodded, "yeah come one, let me pick you up" I said carrying her upstairs,
I ran her a small bath and I helped her in,
She whimpered as I lowered in the tub,
I got her shoulders and lay her back,
She sighed,
"Feel nice?"
She nodded,
"It not hurted no more"
I smiled,
"Good"
"It was so scawy Chwis"
"I know baby I know, I should have left you alone"
"No, not dat,"
I frowned
"When you fell and you were hurted, I thought I was never gonna see you again"
Tears ran down my cheeks,
"Chwis why are you cwying,
I took off my shoes and my jeans leaving me in my shorts underneath and my shirt,
I got into the tub and sat her on my lap and held her close as I cried on her shoulder,
"Chwis-
"Shh shh it's alright I'm fine, just you scared me too" I sniffled my head still rested on her shoulder,
We got out of the tub us both still emotional,
We never said a word,
It was still sunset but we were both exhausted and worn out.
We both got into some pyjamas and got into bed,
We closed the curtains so it was darkish.
Maddy's head rested on my chest as I played with her long hair,
"Chwis?"
"Hmm?"
"Was ghost scared?"
I turned on my side and brushed her fringe out of her little face,
"Yeahhhh darling he was so scared" I whispered,
"But why?"
"We were all scared incase we lost you"
She frowned
"But. Why?"
"Cause we didn't want to loose your pretty little face and your kids heart. Your part of the fa,ily to the guys"
She blushed,
"I has a family?"
"Your already in one Maddy" I smiled
"Was mommy in the family?"
I gulped and bring her back to my chest again,
"Yeah, Chris cared about you mommy very much"
"Then why did she-
"I dunno baby, but just think, she wanted to do what was best, she wanted to leave and she did and now-
"She is in dat cloudy place in the sky!"
I chuckled "if that's what you believe then yes she is"
"Oh not heaven, pfft no... I don't believe that I mean how could you walk on clouds? Dats cwazy,"
I smiled I like her.
"She is in candy land. The chocolate lakes, candy floss trees and gum drops for rocks"
"Ohh I see"
She sighed,"yeah.."
"It wasn't nice though"
"Hmm?"
"Her eyes still looked at me even when her heart stopped beating, I will never forget those eyes"
I held her hand and held her close,
"Get some sleep alright?" I whispered,
"I love you Madelyn"
"Love you Chwis"
