Your Night

-Madelyn's POV-
I let out a  breath that I never knew I held in. I stared at my reflection, my makeup,perfectly placed, dark eyes, pale skin.
I looked over at the Callander next to the mirror in the hallway,
Tomorrow's date had the word 'Surgery' inked all over it which was of course written by Chris.
I gulped.
I felt someone play with my hair.
I true need to see dad putting my hair in plaits
"You ready for this my darling"
"I'm so ready" I grinned.

We both left for the car.
I clenched my stomach as my knee shook for the whole car ride.
"Dylan said just to meet him at the theatre, he says he is running late, his boss wouldn't let him out of work or something"
I nodded, my whole body shook with nervousness.
This was it, all I have ever wanted was about to become a reality.
I looked over at dad who was driving, Keeping his eyes on the road.
I smiled, tears welling up in my eyes.
And to think I might not even make it to Christmas.
I looked at the veins in my wrist. Couldn't they not just pump a little longer,
I might not even be there to give him my Christmas present I got him.
I but my lip as I let a tear fall onto my cheek,
"Hey? You alright what's wrong"
"Just nerves dad it's fine"
"your gonna do just fine, and Maddy, you look absolutely beautiful. Don't let anything get in the way of your dream."
I looked down.
"Your dream is tonight, you have worked for this, you derseve this night to be your night and no one else's"
"I love you dad"
"I love you Madelyn"
