Getting her back..

-Chris's POV-

It's been about two days since I found Maddy under the tree sobbing for Laura.
She hasn't spoke or ate at all since,
She was shattered,
It was near dinner time,
I put some slices of pizza on a plate.
She hasn't left the bedroom in two days.
I would come in now and again replacing her drink to a new glass, bring in food, bring out.
Give her a kiss even.
But she never spoke and when she did it was quiet.
She would stare blankly at the TV all day.
I headed upstairs and also hid a bag in the attic.
I got her a new dress, tights and shoes for the funeral. And also I got her another thing.
It was a whinnie the pooh onzie to keep her warm at night cause I wake to her shivering and I have to cuddle her to keep her warm.
Poor thing.
I headed into the bedroom.
"I..I brought some pizza"
"I'm not hungry"
"Yes you are baby"
"I'm allergic"
"What to pizza? We both know that's not true Maddy" I said sitting in the bottom of bed.
She looked down and I handed her the plate and she ate,
"She scoffed the first slice as she has barely ate all week.
She looked up embarrassed
I chuckled and wiped the corner of her mouth.
"Eat up, you deserve it"
"I uhh-  come with me"
I took her hand and opened the ceiling door to get up into the attic.
The ladder fell and she jumped,
I took her up to the attic and I turned around to sort the ladder,
"No please no!" She yelled pushing me,
"What the hel- Maddy! Stop" I said confused as she pushed me back.
I grabbed her hand,
To she wouldn't fall down the ladder
"Get off of me!" She screamed,
"Maddy stop what's gotten into you?!" I yelled
She kept tugging my arm,
I then noticed tears rushing down her cheek so I let go.
She then ran off.

I stood in the attic paralysed tears rimmed my eyes.
What have I done.
It was dark out by the time I got myself in the right state to see Madelyn again.
Her death   Had turned her cold.
I opened the bedroom door and turned on the night light.
She was curled into a ball with her back to me.
I lay next to her and put my hand on her back and rubbed it,
She never moved.
I hesitated and wrapped my long arms round her and he'd her close to my chest,
" I'm sorry Chwis I- "
She turned to me and showed me her arms waiting to be punished.
I took her arms and her eyes scrunched and she whimpered in fear.
I kissed them.
And her eyes opened,
"Your pretty tough for a six year old" I smiled kissing her forehead.
"I didn't mean to hurt you, I got scared"
"Why though Maddy why" I whispered
"You wouldn't want to hear" she said getting up.
I took her arm, stopping her,
"Tell me"
"Step daddy at night times on Fridays wanted mommy to spend time with her, take his pills, drink teh alcohols  and do b..bad things with her."
I bit the inside of my mouth.
"So he used to lock me in the attic, and if I was noisy and have a panic attack for being in the dark all day he used to hit me lots and it weally weally hurt" she began to cry.
I hugged her tight and she sniffled,
"I..I thought you were gonna lock me up cause I was bad"
"How were you bad?"
"Cause I was lazy, John hated me being lazy"
"You can be lazy all you want you haven't been sleeping I heard"
"How did you know?"
"You were shaking all night"
"Oh"
I lay her back and tucked her in.
"Go to sleep, I'll be back soon"
I headed outside feeling emotional.
I reminded her of him. Of John.
I punched the tree,
She thought I was gonna lock her up there.
I punched again,
She was scared of me
I punched again u till I felt a pare of arms wrap round my legs.
I turned round to see Maddy hugging tightly onto me.
"Don't do that to yourself" she said
I looked down she took my hand and kissed it.
"Chwis?"
"yeah?"
"Since it's not dat late can we stay up?"
"And do what?"
"Can we listen to music?"
"Ohhh since when have you been interested in music" I chuckled
"Balz showed me all these cool bands dat I wanna get into like Korn, suicide Sally,"
"Suicide Sally? Don't you mean suicide silence?"
"Yes dat!"
"Alright, you can stay up, But this calls for popcorn and hot Cocoa"
"Yay!"
I laughed
I'm finally getting her back.

Hey guys
I have decided to apologise for bringing politics to the last author note.
I do not want to have my opinion affect others opnion so I decided to not discuss it.
This is a peaceful zone were we share our love and interests such as music style and our feelings and where we can vent at any Time.

I feel welcomed and feel like I have a purpose in life here.
And it's the best feeling in the world.
