Chris pulled on a scarf, gloves and packed his bag to the brim with blankets and plush toys. He pulled on a beanie and zipped up his coat when he heard a faint tapping sound on the floor next to him. He looked over to his dog, sitting up nice, wagging his tail against the wooden floor. His tongue out and him breathing heavily "All right come on" he sighed, He got in the cold dark car, Rubbing his hands together for warmth and his breathe steamed up the car. -Chris's POV-
I parked the car in the empty hospital car park I tied banshees lead to the lamppost at the main entrance and walke d through the main doors. I was about to walk through into the ward when I heard the lady yell, "Sir you can't go in there" I rolled my eyes and flashed the lady a smile. A fuck you kinda smile. "I just need to use your bathroom" I said continuing to walk through the doors. I seen a sign saying no visitors. I sneaked down the dark hallway and to the left. I see Maddy in her hospital bed sitting up staring sadly out the window watching the snow fall. I opened the door quietly and maddy's face lit up "Daaa!" She whispered letting her arms out. I wrapped my arms round her and pulled her into a warm embrace, "I missed you so much baby doll" "Me too daddy," I cupped my hands round her face, "What's this" I asked referring to the tube under her nose which was plastered to her cheek "The nurses said I couldn't breathe on my own anymore now it's winter time," "I see" "They also put in a heater over in the corner cause the window had a draft" I looked over the room and nodded. I crawled onto the bed and pulled her to my chest, "How are you feeling, you hurting anywhere?" "No, I is just sad" "Why is that darling? "Cause I've not been with you, it's lonely" "I've been the same Madelyn, which is why I am here, I want to take you somewhere" She gasped, "where?" "You always wanted to see the lights right?" "Yes! If that's not a bother to you though" "Of course not now are you well enough to go out" "Yes" I nodded and put on her jacket and wrapped her scarf over her oxygen tube M kissed her cheek and noticed some of her eyebrows have gone. I on her hat and mitts and I curiously felt her chest as she breathed. I felt her lungs suffer and croak. "Maybe this was a bad idea" "No Chwis pwease I really wanna go" "Alright but if anything hurts tell me right away alright" "Alright"
I took her hand and we left the hospital. As we were walking down the corridor a nurse stopped us. "I may not have worked here long, but I have worked here long enough to know what you are doing is wrong" said the young lady. I gulped and pulled Maddy to my side. "But, I unlike the other doctors and nurses here have a heart. I will let you go, and Madelyn, i am putting my trust into Chris's hands yes, so if you are hurting at all you must tell him you hear me" "Can she stay for Christmas?" I asked "Yeah, she can stay home now, I give her permission to leave" I smiled .
--- We walked through down town, masses of people rushing with their last minute Christmas shopping, Homeless people being fed by the local church in the cold, People kicking past the beautiful displays not taking in its beauty. There was no sense of community at Christmas anymore. It is all about money nowadays. Madelyn gasped, but suddenly had to take her inhaler. "It's so busy" she coughed, "come on up you get" I smiled picking her up and putting on her shoulders. I put her small oxygen tank in my back pack so she could breathe. I walked though the streets and made it to the lights. The terms were glistening with sliver lights, that lit up the sky. There were lit up santa's and lit up holly leaves. Also nativity scenes Which all led up to the finale which was a giant Christmas tree that was coated with golden glowing lights. It was a beautiful sight, but I wasn't focused on the lights. I had my eye on Madelyn little face. Her face was full of amazement and happiness. Each and every light reflected against her beautiful green eyes. Her put up her arms, feeling the silver glow coated branches against her gloves. Snowflakes were caught in her fine light brown locks and her eyelashes. Her red rosy cheeks contrasted against her soft,pale and fragile,skin.

It was really a sight to see. "Look daddy! The lights, there wike Magic" "Yeah and look at that tree, isn't it beautiful" "It weally is dad! Thankyou for taking me " "That's alright Maddy doll" "The two weeks wait in the lonely hospital was worth it" she concluded, her fluffy mitts on her hands on the top of my head for balance. "We'll have even more fun from now on, I promise you that." "You don't have to do anything Chwis" "You deserve it Madelyn, you really do" She kissed the top of my head and continued to take in all the lights. "So where first huh? How about the toy store" she gasped, "We're getting toys?!" "Well, yeah, there is a shopping centre right there and think of it as a early Christmas present" "Aww Chwis your so kind"
-- "Hoppy hoppy hop!" Said Madelyn contently on my shoulders bouncing her brand new bunny rabbit plush in the air as we headed back to the car. "Wook Chwis he thinks your a carrot nom nom nom" she giggled poking the rabbit on my head. I chuckled "alright you little rascal let's buckle you in" I popped her in the car and we headed home.
--- The drive home was short. Time flies when your having fun I guess, We got in the house and I yawned throwing the car keys on the sofa. We both kicked our feet up and I turned in the TV, As usual another Christmas advert came on. "Oh! That's reminds me! I know it's early Chwis but I just couldn't wait" said Madelyn looking under the sofa. She came out with a small box I gave her a grateful smile and opened the small box with care. Out came a black watch. I put it round my wrists and grinned. "It's a water proof one so you can shower with it and you don't have to worry when you go to Britain for the rain he he," I smiled and kissed the top of her head. "Maddy, I love it, but where did you get the money for this" She smiled and picked up her piggy bank. "Dis," "I used to get mommy's spare change and I collected it for years and I decided to spend it all on the person I care about the mist which is you dad" she smiled. I blushed. "That's so thoughtful and kind of you baby" I said giving her a tight squeeze. "That's okay Chwis" "I love you" "I love you more"
Hey guys! Hope your all okay I'm great I have just been away to universals Halloween horror nights and it was awesome. I got to go in the exorcist,Texas chainsaw massacre, Halloween and American horror story. It was scary but awesome. I also met Harley Quinn so I'm pleased.
