-Chris's POV-
"Maddy?!" I screamed almost in tears,
I ran through the flames burning my upper torso making em grunt.
I dropped my jacket and fell to my knees.
I began clawing and digging my little girl out of the rubble and debris.
The smoke turned black and I began to panic, scratching more and more through the bits of glass and rubble.
Shaving and cutting up my fingers. My nails breaking off my hands,
I scratched and clawed at the sharp rough materials until I felt the softness of Madelyn's skin,
I picked her up and held her in my arms,
I sniffled and checked her pulse.
Her heart was still beating.
"Come on darling breathe" I said tears streaming down my face.
I blew air in her little face and she shot up awake and continued to cry,
"K..keep me safe d..daddy" she cried
"Hold onto me, hold on tight"
I covered her with the leather jacket so she wouldn't get burnt.
I ran through the flames and into the hall,
"R..right, uhh give me a sec I'll find a way out"
The door way was blocked.
"C.chwis" said Maddy weakly,
"What is it"
She pointed to the ceiling.
Looked up to see the glass chandelier.
"Aww shit"
I turned my back as the heat made the glass explode,
Maddy gripped my shirt and whimpered as loads of shards of glass shoot into my back like bullets.
I held her close and escaped,
I ran onto the porch when another explosion occurred knocking me off my feet, dropped img Maddy as we both fell and rolled across the concrete.

-maddy's POV-

We both lay apart in silence when I woke to heavy rain fall.
I shakily got up. To see Chwis lying still,
With his white shirt stained with blood all over his back from teh glass.
I whimpered and began to cry crawling to him.
I shook him but he didn't move.
"C..Chwis wake up! Wake up!" I cried.
I turned him onto his back and put my hands on his chest and I shook him
"Daaad. I don't wanna be alone" I sobbed
I kissed his face loads of times and lay next to him as my burns were soothed from teh rain.

-Chris's POV-

I shot awake on the ground, the rain washing awake the remainders of my foundation.
Maddy was silently crying next to me
We were both soaked in the rain but i did not care.
I brung  his little girl onto his lap and cupped her face with my  tattooed hands.
"I thought you were a goner daddy I thought you weft me" she cried shaking her head.
"Shhh shhh, I'm sorry baby"
"It was so scawy daddy" she cried.
"Shhh Daddy's here, daddy's got you"

For the first time ever Chris realised that this little girl needed him to be her father.
He knew that this was the way to go.
He was her father and she was his daughter and nothing to come between them.
Not now. They built so much.
Chris didn't care anymore about his work or the stresses of the album.
All he cared about at this moment was his beautiful little girl that he will be by his side for most of his life and that's what truly mattered.
To keep her safe was all he knew at this point.
We heard sirens from behind us and I held her close.
He wiped away the rain drops on her soft pale face,
"Y..your house-
"Shh it's okay we will figure it out. Close your eyes I've got you" Chris said
She nodded and closed her eyes..
About an hour late the sky was a dark grey colour and the weather was cold.
Fog spread across the outskirts of Pennsylvania and the area was silent.

The fire trucks came and went. The men were nice enough to hand them some blankets to keep warm outside while they worked on the house.
Luckily only the kitchen and the living rooms was destroyed.
The only thing damaged upstairs was the lights and the smell of smoke that will linger for a while until it clears,
Madelyn and Chris sat next to each other along with the dog on the damp knees to their chins, sitting in silence as they watched the black smoke release from their home.
There wasn't much conversation. They both were shattered and weak from lack of sleep.
"S..so your otay with being my dada now"
"Yeah. I sure am" said Chris kissing her cheek,
Maddy smiled weakly and kissed Chris's arm and held his hand.
By the time they left it was early hours in the morning.
Madelyn had her head rested on Chris's shoulder as the sky brightened slightly to a lighter grey.
They got up off the ground and thanked the last fire fighter that left.
"Your heating in busted and the hot water tank is destroyed, we can get you a hotel if you like but it's not gonna be a nice one"
"It's fine. Thankyou for your work" said Chris

Chris didn't even want to look at the state of the living room of kitchen so he kept the door shut.
The small hallway was perished.

-Chris's POV-
I took maddy's hand and we silently and we tiredly walked upstairs.
I sat on the edge of the bed and winced taking off my shirt.
"Damnit" I whispered.
"Hold still Chwis" Maddy said quietly.
She climbed onto  the toilet and grabbed the first aid kit.
She then careful took out the shards of glass making me wince and grunt.
"Sowwy"
"It's alright, is that them all?" I panted
"Mmmhmm"
She got some cotton wool and dabbed the small wounds with rubbing alcohol.
She then carefully put in her hello kitty band aids all over them to seal the deal.
I kissed her fore head and put a little band aid on her cheek.
I put cream on her burnt knees and we both lay in bed.
The heating was gone and the windows were smashed.
"C..Chwis?"
"Yeah?"
"Can I has a back rub?"
I rubbed her little back as she calmed down, closing her eyes.
I did also.
About an hour later I felt Maddy shiver so I wrapped my hands round her torso and held her close in spooning position to keep her warm.
We eventually fell into a deep sleep.

Hey guys.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter and just to say my style of writing is dramatic.
I have a lot of action in my stories if you have read my other works you'll know this.
I just hope that you guys are okay with it cause the drama keeps me interested in writing it and I hope it does for you too.
Anyways I love you guys.
I hope you are all okay.
Personally I do think my depression is define toy back cause I am lacking motivation in everything at the Moment.
Apart from this, cause I love writing but everything else is just like a blur.
Anyways I'll hang in there, or I'll try, I have school in a few days so let's hope I don't make it.
Anything is better than school tbh.
