The plane landed at around 7:45 and we packed our things into Max's truck.
When we were done, we went straight to Lindsay's mom's house for dinner.
Jordan was about to ring the doorbell but I stopped him.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"Laying down some ground rules for you and River." I said. "Lindsay's dad is here. I've never met him but Lindsay said he's a huge asshole. Which means if he says anything rude to you two, River and Jordan, do not throw a fit and flip the hell out. Is that understood?"
"Fine." Jordan sighed.
"River?" I looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
He just smirked.
"That doesn't answer my question." I stated.
"You know I can't make any promises." He replied.
"River I'm serious." I said trying to look as stern as I could.
"So am I." He retorted with that smirk still stuck on his face.
"Can you at least try to be civilized?" Max asked.
"Sure. But we all know how that usually turns out."
"You're relentless." I muttered then rang the doorbell.
It shot open within seconds and Lindsay attacked all of us, even River, with hugs.
"I missed you guys so much! You have to hurry and come in. I swear my dad is about to make me pop off."
"He can't be that bad." I stated. "Oh and I told River and Jordan not to retaliate if he said anything rude to them. J agreed but River hasn't." I said as I gave him an unwelcoming look.
"Please, knock his ass out if you have to." Lindsay told him.
"Lindsay!" I said.
"What? I'm just joking... No I'm not. Okay come on inside."
We walked inside and placed our jackets on the couch.
"And you must be Grayson?, Lindsay asked Grayson as he tried hiding behind River.
He shyly nodded his head yes.
"Nice to meet you cutie, I'm Lindsay. I have a little brother your age in the dining room. You wanna meet him?" She asked as she held out her hand.
He shook his head yes and took her hand. We followed them into the dining room and were immediately welcomed by her mom.
"Oh you all made it! How lovely! Lindsay, introduce me to these two new faces!" She yelled.
I grinned at how excited she was.
"Well..." Lindsay began. "This little guy here is Grayson, he's five, that's River, he's an ass.""Its great to meet you two! She said as she gave them then all of us a kiss on the cheek. "I'll go get the table ready!" She ran off to the kitchen while Lindsay introduced us to the rest of her family.
"So guys these are my siblings. I'm sure you all have met Natalie with the exception of River and Grayson but anyhow, Natalie's my favorite, she's seven. Tyler's a little shit and he's also seven, Austin is five and he's a decent kid I guess, and Kaleb is three, I don't really like him either. Oh and this handsome guy over here, that I'm only calling handsome because I look so much like him, is my sperm donor, Lucas."
"Lindsay that's not a nice way to refer to your dad." I said though with a friendly smile. Actually it was a smile that I put on to hide my shock.
