Chapter 105: The Unthinkable

Madison's P.O.V.

"Have you seen Max? Is he here?" I asked Cassidy as she opened the door.

"No why?" She questioned.

"Because I've been calling him all morning but he's not answering." I stated.

"I sent him to go look for River last night. I tried to call them both but neither of them answered me either. Wanna help me go look for them?"

"I have nothing better to do."

"Okay, let's go see if Riley wants to come."

I followed her upstairs and down the hall to Riley's room.

She opened the door and we stepped in.

Even though it was 11 in the morning, the room was dark.

Riley was laying in bed with his back facing us.

"Hey East, Maddy and I are gonna go look for Max and River. Wanna come with?" Cassie asked.

"Sure..." He solemnly replied.

He kicked his covers off and grabbed a hoodie off the floor to put on then slipped on a pair of vans.

He looked out of it. He was clearly still grieving pretty hard. I knew exactly how he felt. I watched Xander get murdered too.

I also didn't get any sleep last night. I couldn't stop replaying that awful moment in my head.

I tried everything. I even talked to Max about it for a while but stopped when I felt myself about to breakdown.

We walked out of the house and down the street to Jordan's.

"He'll probably wanna come." Cassidy said as she knocked on the door.

No one answered but we heard noise coming from inside.

A lot of noise.

"Something's wrong." I said.

Cass twisted the doorknob and the door opened.

As soon as we walked inside we heard yelling and crying coming from what sounded like the living room.

We quickly went into the living-room and stopped in our tracks when we came upon an unexpected scene.

Jordan's mom was pushing her husband Floyd back, with tears streaming down her face, as he yelled at Jordan and kept trying to grab him.

Liliana was holding Jordan back against the wall, bawling her eyes out.

"You're absolutely pathetic!!!" Floyd shouted at Jordan. "Fucking pathetic!"

"Jordan stop!!" Lili demanded as I ran to help her seeing that she was struggling trying to hold J back.

"What's going on?" Cassidy asked.

"Mom and dad got into an argument." Lili said through tears. "Dad tried to hit mom but Jordan jumped up and hit him! Now they wont stop this!"

"You have NO right to put your damn hands on me!" Floyd yelled at Jordan.

"You have no right to fucking hit mom you sorry piece of shit!" Jordan retaliated.

"I can do whatever the hell I want!"

"And thats the problem! You think can do anything and get away with it!"

"Stop disrespecting me! You are my son and I will NOT tolerate you talking to me any kind of way!"
