Chapter 129: Aliens

River's P.O.V.

Sehrem and Raes were coming today to deliver some message that they had to give us in person.

Out of all days they could've came, today was by far the worst.
I ran out of the medication that helps me control my anger so dealing with Raes was gonna be 100x's harder.

After mentally preparing myself for a while, the doorbell rang.

Rome answered it after asking who it was.

"Hello nephew." Raes greeted him.

"Piss off." Rome stated as he walked away.

"Excuse him." Grandpa said. "Raes, Sehrem, how are you two its been a while."

"Fairly decent." Sehrem replied.

"Speak for yourself." Raes mumbled.

"Come on in, I'll let you use my office for your meeting tonight."

Max, Tommy, Stormy, and I followed Sehrem and Raes into my grandpa's office.

"So what's going on?" Asked Stormy.

"Well..." Sehrem began. "Peter knows you're in France."

"What? How?" Asked Max.

"We don't know how he found out but he definitely knows you're here. In fact he knows exactly where you are. But you all are still much safer here than you are back at home."

"We have reason to believe that he's planning something." Raes added. "Therefore father and Kratos insisted that we stay here for the rest of the time being."

"No..." I said quietly.

"Yes." Raes smiled.

16 months living in the same house as Raes? No fucking way. Nope.

"What's wrong little brother? I thought you'd be at least a little happy to spend some time with me." He stated.

I sighed and rolled my eyes.

This was a nightmare.

"Why couldn't they have sent you and Theana? Or you and Sid? They know Raes and I don't get along." I said to Sehrem.

"Because Raes is the most capable out of us all to keep everyone safe." He replied.

Raes smiled at me and chuckled.

"I don't see anything funny." I retorted. "Listen Raes, don't do anything that isn't normal. I don't care if this house gets raided by Peter's men, you better fight fairly."

"Is that what you call it?" He laughed. "Fighting fairly? Just because I use the gift of which I was born with means its an unfair fight?"

"Yes, it does."

"So lets say I accidentally unleash my full wrath. What would you do in that instant?"

"Well I wouldn't be able to stop you." I admitted. "All I'm asking of you is to control it. I don't need everyone seeing what you, Sehrem, and I are capable of."

"And why not?"

"Because I said so. Why must you question everything I say?"

"I just want to figure out why you're so ashamed of who we are."

"I'm not. But you know that father and Kratos would tell you the same thing."

"Apollo is right." Sehrem said. "We have to limit ourselves."
