Chapter 31 | Hiccups Birthday

((A/n: I know I mentioned Hiccups birthday before BUT I HAD TO DO THIS, so pretend I never did))

Reader POV.

"Thank you so much guys" I said as the others helped with the props.

Its Hiccups birthday and its 4:am.
I decided that because I have nothing to give him, I'd surprise him with a birthday dance.

The others had agrees to help with playing music and keeping it a secret.
We're currently setting up a makeshift stage with dragons using their flame as Spotlights and cupcakes and confetti.

The plan was I go missing all day and that night the gang take him here where I jump out from behind the massive cupcakes in a costume and dance to Birthday as my present to him.

We finished the stage and the others ran off to distribute him while Astrid stayed back with me to help with my hair.

I put on a blue shirt and pink leggings with a puffy skirt that bounced when you danced. I had blue boots and we were currently doing my hair.

"He's gonna love this" Astrid said.

We both fiddled with my hair and head peace.

"Thanks for helping out, I really appreciate it" I said.

"Don't mention it, plus we all wanna see you dance"

I hit her for that.

"Shut up I'm only doing this because Its Hiccups birthday and it's my present to him" I said.

"I know you explained every rehearsal"

"Well you better go and distract Hiccup, I'll take care of the rest" I said.

"Alright but don't destroy the place" Astrid said walking off.

"I won't!" I called back

I tied a bow to my tail as a finishing touch.

I rehearsed the song and dance over and over while I waited.

I wonder what Hiccups doing.

Hiccups POV

"Does anyone know where (y/n) is?" I asked.

"Nah, she said she has an errand to run" Tuffnut said.

"When will she be back?"

"Dunno it might take all day" Ruffnut said.

"Astrid's gone too"

"Shes out at the stables filling in for me" mum said.

Suddenly I was bombarded with Happy Birthdays and gifts.

Mum gave me a sword.
The twins gave me a loki free day. Thank Thor.
And Astrid left a dragon tooth necklace for me.

Maybe that errand (y/n)s running is my gift.
I just hope shes ok.

Astrid then came in.

"Have you seen (y/n)?"

"I saw her when she left for her errand to the traders" Astrid said.

"Is that glitter?" I asked spotting glitter on her hands.

"No... Uh-one of the dragons decided to lick me and its the shine of spit you can see" Astrid said.
