Chapter 9 | for the dancing and the dreaming

Reader POV.

Apon waking the next morning I decided to go to the hot springs for a swim.
They were on the next island in the chain, it was getting colder by the day so I grabbed some warm clothes and put them in (d/n)'s saddle bag before taking off.

"And where are you going?"
"WWWAAAAA!"
"Man you are jumpy"
"HICCUP!"
"Where are you going?"
"hot springs"

Where exactly is the conversation going?

"what a coincidence I'm heading there too" Hiccup said.

I blushed. Oh Thor help me.

I dived into the warm water in the cave as we stayed in from the snow.
Hiccup dived in with a splash and popped up again shaking his head.
Thor was he trying to be hot?

"Just like the movies" I said.
"Your home universe is weird" Hiccup said.
"Not as weird as our dancing" i said.
"oh I gotta try this!" Hiccup said climbing out of the water.

I jumped out too.
"So theres the moonwalk, the shuffle, gangnam style and the whip and nae nae" I listed.
"Teach me the moonwalk" Hiccup said.
"Ok you slide you feet backwards and you just kinda..." I trailed off moonwalking though the cave.

After teaching Hiccup all our dance moves we danced around for a while laughing at our failed attempts to dance properly.

I shoved Hiccup into the water and jumped in too after a while off goofing around and swimming until was probably best to get back.

I grabbed my clothes and went around the corner to put them on.
I had a long-sleeved shirt with fur, long pants and a skirt. With the help of (d/n)'s heat from her flame I dried my hair and we all took off.

By the time we got back the snow had risen a lot.

"Its best to stay inside for the next few months" Valka said "devastating winter is not the best time to be flying."

We nodded in understanding before taking off to our houses.

"Why are you so happy (d/n)?"

"Lets just say I have a snoggletog date"

"HAHAHA I KNEW IT! Wait... HOW CAN MY DRAGON GET A BOYFRIEND BEFORE ME!"

I was tired as hell and sitting on the sofa. Hiccup was laying down with his head on my lap.
I don't think I need to explain how excited I am, but I'm tired and just have my head resting on the back of the sofa as Hiccup plays with my tail.

I could tell Hiccup was tired as well, he had his eyes closed his hands on his chest.

"I'll swim and sail on savage seas
with ne'er a fear of drowning.
And gladly ride the waves of life
if you will marry me"

I sang softly.

Suddenly Hiccup moved his hand and locked it with mine, I just continued as best as I could trying not to have a fangirl attack.

"My dearest one, my darling dear,
your mighty words astound me.
But I've no need of mighty deeds
when I feel your arms around me.
But I would bring you rings of gold,
I'd even sing you poetry!
And I would keep you from all harm
if you would stay beside me!
I have no use for rings of gold,

Apon hearing this familiar song, Valka looked around the corner of the door frame and watched.

"To love and kiss, to sweetly hold!
For the dancing and the dreaming!
Through all life's sorrows and delights,
I'll keep your love inside me!
I'll swim and sail on savage seas
with ne'er a fear of drowning!
And gladly ride the waves of life"

Then the strangest thing happened, I thought Hiccup was asleep but...
