Phase 29: Mirose Grande

[Black Cross Mansion – Myrrh City]

I spent three days not going out of my room, but it's not that boring. I have my laptop, where I can play games. There's even a wireless LAN here in the mansion. It won't be boring if I got these things.

All the Blazing Heart and Eaglehorn Members visited me and asked me to get well soon. The most sympathetic visitations I had is my Legion-mates, especially Asumi. Erylle and Mia told me that Asumi was always crying, but refuses to let me know. It's like I died or anything... but I know that she almost thought of losing a big brother again.

Erylle never left my side. I don't know why. Every time I attempt to ask her a question, she will make some voluptuous gestures that will make my face red and forgot the question I'm about to ask. She even tries hard to sound cute whenever she's feeding me; something like "Open your mouth! Aaaaaaaaaaaa~" OF COURSE I'M HAPPY but every time she does that, my inner loser takes over and make my face red like a tomato. After that you wouldn't see me speaking straight for two hours.

Her flirting strategies are the most annoying part of her. She started acting like this when I gave her the blue ribbon, so I feel like regretting it. I think it's already obvious that I like her, since she's already showing dirty motives...

She now really gets the hang of teasing me in front of others. Also, I really don't get her attitude. I noticed that the closer I am to her, the more frequent her moodswing is.

She never gets bored staying with me, since we watch movies together, and sometimes she'll watch me play a horror game in my laptop. But most of the time, we spend our hours chatting and telling jokes. I've gotten a lot more comfortable with her, and I pretty much know now all her sides. Is it me, or I'm not afraid of talking to girls anymore? I just noticed.

A folder of reports from the Black Cross is the only thing that updated me on the current issues.

The primary reason for the Dark Legion's attack is to kill all the Legion Masters in the summit. Their operation failed because of the appearance of the Holy Knights, the most powerful Guardians. All of them have the rank of S+.

There was another summit about the Cursed Guardians. A new team led by the Black Cross was born to investigate and track down the Cursed Guardians. According to the report, there are two traitors within the 12 Legions that are now apprehended and held in custody. One is a Quarterhelm Legion Guardian. Marcos Heinz. He's the one who casted <Heartstopper Curse> to all his comrades in their Haven while their Legion Master are away, attending the summit. The other traitor is Skye Goldcliffe, a Guardian of the Black Cross. She was in charge of the rear guarding duty while it happened, and it also happens that she was the only one survived, thus accusing her as a suspect. They were held in custody in the Undergroud Prison in the Black Cross Haven and waiting for the Gate Guardian Council's trial.

The Aeternos's whereabouts are now unknown because all the files, the datas, everything about it is now gone. Those information was stolen by the Dark Legion.

When I'm finally able to walk without a help of a crutch, I asked Erylle for a temporary rest into my hometown, Mirose Grande City, and I promise to go back after a week. Erylle approved it without any second thought or whatsoever.

It's settled, then. I'm going back to my hometown just like any ordinary summer vacation. Mirose Grande City is one of the largest cities in our country. But it's not the city I wanted to visit; it's my best friend and family of course. It's been a year since I last got my feet on that city. But now, I'll return to it with a smile on my face and slight changes on my personality. I feel like I'm mentally stronger than last year.

The travel time is approximately six hours from Myrrh City. It was already sunset when I finally stood in front of my family's house. Then a thought entered in my mind. I should hide the scar on my stomach. I don't know what excuse or lies I should tell them. I can't reveal the truth to them, because certainly they will become overprotective and such. You know the common "Parent Paranoid Syndrome" right?

When I opened the door, my little sister jumpscared me with a little "boo!". I got a little surprised, but then she immediately rushes and tried to hug me. I evaded her first attack and then blocked her face with my palms. I always get easily irritated whenever she's doing this.

"Hug me, brother!"

"Stop it, Weiss!" I cried.

"Seems like you're early." My mother made a smile.

She told me that my father is busy on his work, so he might go home a little bit late. Tomorrow, Weiss will be attending the summer camp in Heightsburg so she'll be out in a month. My summer vacation is always like this.

Our guard, Jack, a german shepherd leaped on me and licked my face. He's a year old now, and he seems to be growing fast that he's already reaching my shoulders when he stood up.

There's a family picture of the four of us hanged in the living room. My father is a tall, dark, and ugly man with a body of a bouncer. He's a muscle man, completely opposite of his first son, me, who is skinny enough to look like a bamboo tree. My mother is just an average woman, you can't say anything unusual to her, and she's just an ordinary mother. Weiss is my little sister, she have a cute face with innumerable freckles on her cheeks.

I spent my first day here in Mirose Grande like any other ordinary day. There are not many changes in this place, just that the second floor of our house is being renovated because of the recent hurricane. The second floor consists of a living room and two bedrooms, one for me and one for my little sister. Now that it's being renovated, Weiss sleeps with my father and mother together with the master's bedroom. My parents wouldn't find some romantic time for the time being.

Good thing our stockroom is free from dirt. They cleaned it up and made it my bedroom once they received my call about getting home.

When the darkness came, I called my best friend, and had a nice chat through the phone. I challenged him to a marathon to the beach, since I'm pretty confident that my Legion training pays off. Most of the time I'm always left behind but now, let's see...

I climbed to the second floor. There's still no roof, so this is the best view for stargazing. Looking at the stars, I feel a little lonely. Erylle's my partner in stargazing, and I pretty much miss her.
