Phase 72: Training Regimen 2

[Transfield]

Day 3: We tried our weapon enhancements to a level 2 Eidolon, to see if there are some improvements to be given. Right now, we are facing an orange-colored Bengal tiger who is five-meters high and can stand in two feet. It has sharp claws and razor teeth.

"From now on, we'll call her Tywina." Heushac smiled with confidence.

"H-Huh?" Atlas and I scratched our head at the same time.

Does he always do this? Naming a monster that is a source of a sin, who will try to kill us in this battle? Really Heushac?... But this might spice things a little. Yeah, Eidolons doesn't have names, and it's hard to call one when we're in battle. Well I guess it's better to have it a name. But not Tywina, it's really lame.

Grrraaaaa!

Tywina (Temporary) immediately gushed over our side. I immediately coated my diamond shield with black flames and used it to block all its scratch attacks towards us. Now Tywina had her arms burning.

"Hrrraaaaaah!" Heushac shouted, charging from a distance. His broadsword immediately blazed with red hot flames as he immediately made a sword spell "<Fiery Swing>!!!"

It hit Tywina on her left chest, which made her flinch. I then immediately took my advance, putting my shield on my back and readied my fist, which is covered by black flames. I punched her left and right to the face. It made her fell to the ground.

<Flame Enchant> boosts our physical prowess, as well as speed. Also, our flame power will give a tremendous damage by burning them. Finally I'm able to control these flames without hurting myself!

Heushac immediately leaped forward, and with his blazing sword, chanted a new spell.

"<Meteroic Blow>!!!"

His sword became covered with a fusion of flames and rocks, making it much heavier. It immediately crushed Tywina's body and then it made a huge bang! After the explosion, only the Quintessence can be found.

Clap! Clap! It was Atlas, on standing ovation. "You two are rather learning very quickly. But we will have to test other elements first, in order to find what type of Enchantment you will master."

You mean all of the elements – Fire, lightning, ice, water, wind, earth, nature, steel and other, right? I thought we're already masters on these spells!

Well, Gate Guardians are not element-specific. We can use any of the elements, but it will be hard to master them all. That is why we will have to choose what type of Element Enchantment we should master. Not really a bad deal. Except that we will be doing all these steps all over again.

Day 4: We repeated Day 1, but instead using <Lightning Enchant>. This time, Heushac went home electrocuted which gave him a dark complexion and armpit-looking hairstyle.

Day 5: We repeated Day 2, but instead I accidentally electrocuted my left leg. It took five hours before I can feel my leg again.

Day 6: We encountered an Eidolon who looks like a tin can robot. Heushac named it Pappy, though I don't know how he concluded that name. We tested our lightning-based attacks. The results are good, but not as better as our Fire Enchantment.

Day 7: We repeated Day 1, now using <Ice Enchant>. I accidentally froze my nipples. I can't feel them anymore, but not until the day ended.

Day 8: Repeated Day 2, but Heushac froze his butt. He can't poop on that day.

Day 9: We tested our ice prowess with an enemy, a crab-man monster. Heushac named it Pusha, and I don't know where the heck he got that name!

From that day onwards, we continued our training over and over while using another element, making more and more embarrassing mistakes.

Everything we did in our training is a cycle that seemed to never end. It was quite stressful, but I think it's all worth it. At the end of our training camp, Heushac and I finally mastered two enchantments, though this is a secret for now. We'll surprise Erylle and Mia when we'll have the chance to show our power again.

It is now Saturday, and just like any weekends, I will sleep in our haven. It's been a long day for me, and this is the day our training was over. It was a stressful day for me. Like any other day, I spent the last hours of the night stargazing with Erylle.

"Hey, tell me about your training with Atlas and Heushac." She smiled.

"It's not necessary; you'll just have to read my mind..." I coldly replied.

"T-That's rude! What do you think of me!? An eavesdropper or something!?"

"N-No!" I exclaimed. Though I really think that she is one.

She immediately punched my face, which resulted my head to smash the floor like an upside-down pendulum. Argh! That's painful!

When I got myself up, I noticed that Erylle's eyes are sparkling. She was staring on some blue star that is a lot brighter than the others. This resulted into a shift in topic.

"Hey, do you think Asumi is happy right now?"

I nodded with a smile. "She's happy even though she got an untimely death. Atlas is back and everyone's safe. Almost all the problems have been eliminated. Her sacrifice is not in vain. She's certainly happy."

"Hmmm...You're right. I wonder if she thinks about us in the other side and also thinking if we're all happy or not."

"I'm sure she is." I said. "But it would be better if there's a Guardian who can resurrect the dead..."

"There's no such thing as that." Erylle bowed in despair. "If there is one, we should have known. Maybe the Heavenly Blade of Life can do it, but I never had any news about any resurrection of some sort."

That's really sad. But I should do anything just to find it. But thinking about it makes me tremble. We might lose someone again.

Erylle noticed my fear and determination in my eyes. So she immediately held my hand.

"We might be walking in the unending battle which is surrounded by darkness of sorrow right now, but we will make our way together. Just remember that stars only shine in the middle of darkness."
