Phase 77: Cowie and Asumi

[Transfield – 2 Months Back]

"Y-Yohan..."

Her hand was reaching to the past me. He's the nearest person to her after all.

Her mouth spurted with blood. Her pinkish lips were now stained with red.

Her eyes... The tears from her eyes flows nonstop. Because of the pain.

The pain of having the Cataclysor piercing her heart from the back.

"N-No!" That was the only thing that came out from past Yohan's mouth. But he summoned all the air from his lungs to shout her name.

"ASUMIIIIIIII!!!"

Benedict slowly raised the large Heavenly Blade, torturing the black-haired girl in front of my eyes.

"A....AAAAAH!!!"

Her screams have been prevented due to the Cataclysor ripping her lungs. Her body is now being lifted upwards. I-I can't watch this anymore! Not again! I have to pull out Asumi from that demon!

"Hrrrraaaaaa!" Yohan charged with all his might. But there was an invisible wall that prevented him from saving Asumi!

(I don't know why I'm having fun narrating these in third-person view, but yes I know this is not funny. I should make my move.)

Yohan punched and punched the invisible barrier, but there is no hint of it breaking.

"Horus Inci..."

As soon as Benedict noticed past Yohan chanting those words, he pushed dark energy from his body to the Cataclysor. Now that the Cataclysor is filled with dark particles, he immediately released it in the helpless body of the poor woman.

"Now!" Future Erylle shouted, as she stabbed the Reginleif on the ground.

Time stopped. Everything on our surroundings became gray. But I can move. I'm the only one who can do this right now. I will save Asumi.

I immediately ran to Benedict. As I thought, there's still an invisible barrier. I can't do anything since all my powers are being borrowed by Erylle. Sigh.

"<Inferno Twirl>!!!"

Erylle suddenly released a piercing drill-like tornado from her bow. The tornado is covered by dark flames together with Void Energy. It gushed to Benedict's invisible barrier, pierced and broke it like shattered glass.

"Thanks!" I shouted.

Now it's my job. I climbed using Benedict's two meter body like it's just a statue in some random park. He is a statue right now since he can't move at all. Time stopped, remember? Now, I proceeded to carefully lifted Asumi's stone hard body that has been impaled by the Cataclysor. I must be careful not to touch that Heavenly Blade.

As soon as I retrieved Asumi, I went hidden to a room where no one sees and signaled Erylle to return time back to its original flow. So time came back.

"E-Eh??" Benedict's face is utterly dumbstruck. The Past Yohan is dumbstruck as well. Where did Asumi go?

"Yohan, you idiot! We'll repeat it again!" Pak! Erylle spanked the back of my head. "We should fake Asumi's death so that we can advance!"

Well, I accidentally created a Time Paradox so I guess I'll repeat it again.

We did the same thing but now with precision. Erylle stopped at the same millisecond where Benedict is already releasing dark energy from the Cataclysor. I happen to pull out Asumi's body without any problems and secured her to a safe unseen place. Now it just happens that I don't know what we should be doing next to fake Asumi's death.

Come to think of it, Asumi's body was converted into ashes at the time when Benedict. So that means I'll have to stick something on the Cataclysor in exchange of Asumi's body, which will be converted to ashes.

The problem is that I can't see any replacement for Asumi. I can't just stab anyone here! It has to be an object! A life-size object!

I looked at Erylle, trying my luck to have some ideas. But then I saw it.

I putted it on the top of the Cataclysor and its fluffy body was pierced by the dark energy that'll soon overflow and change fate.

"H-Hey! Why did you take Cowie without my permission!?" Erylle yelled at me. "This is our grand reunion, and now you're killing him!"

"I-I can't see anything life-sized to replace Asumi's body! It can't be helped!" I cried with pretentious guilt. I'm not feeling guilty at all. It's just a stuffed toy.

"GET BACK THERE AND GET HIM!!!" Now Erylle's angry at me.

"That stuffed toy is already torn by Cataclysor!" I cried. "I'll just buy you a new one..."

"Hmph! Fine!" Erylle raised her hand and it glowed blue. "<Optic Substitution>!!!"

That will do! <Optic Substitution> makes an illusion to everyone's naked eyes. They will mistake Cowie as Asumi perfectly!

As soon as Erylle resumed time's flow, a blinding darkness covered her stuck-up plushy, which was immediately converted it into ashes.

FWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!

"NOOOOO, COWIEEEE-"

That was Erylle's cry, but I immediately muffled her to prevent any more time paradox. I don't know if I should feel guilty or not.

I guess I'll label Cowie as a superhero from now on.
