Phase 35: To the Rescue!

[Transfield]

[1:23 PM]

The masked swordsman gripped his blade. It glowed crimson red, suddenly fire burst off the edges of it. Even with this, Erylle kept on struggling. Her hands started to burn, but she endured the pain.

"That girl is quite persistent." Benedict chuckled creepily. "You can kill that one, black swordsman. We just need this Romanov boy alive."

The flames of the sword became bigger that even Erylle never manage to endure it anymore. She tried to pull the black swordsman's arms but she's in much pain right now that she can't even make a simple grip.

Soon, it started to burn a part of Erylle's vest and short skirt, and some of her hair. Then, the blue ribbon on her hair started to be engulfed in fire. It became ashes that joined the wind in no time.

All hope left her face, her tears came quickly but she didn't make any sound. Her throat is swollen with fear so she could barely speak.

"STOOOOOP!!!" I screamed.

I used my <Timelock> ability and everything around me froze. I should think for ways to escape this hopeless situation. I can freeze everything as long as I don't run out of energy. This might last for about a minute, so I should think clearly.

There's something just underneath my chest, I can feel it. Maybe it's a rock. This might help me. Even the slightest things will work.

As soon as I released my <Timelock>, I grabbed the rock underneath my chest. For this range, I can't throw it to the black swordsman. I can only throw it to Benedict or the tentacle kid. So maybe if I made a clear hit on the tentacle kid's head, he might flinch and loosen the grip of my left leg. Then I should run to Erylle and...I don't know. Maybe I'll kick the black swordsman.

I'll leave everything to chance.

"Take this!" I shouted, turned back and threw the rock straight into the kid's face.

But the other tentacle deflected the rock. It was this hopeless. The kid smiled, glaring his devilish eyes at me.

Bang!

A gunshot. There's a hole in the kid's forehead, black blood oozing from it. He fell down in an instant.

"Who-"

A hundred meters from here, a blonde haired guy wearing a red jacket, with a sigil of a heart of fire appeared. He was holding guns in each hand. It was-

"Z-Zion!"

When the tentacle's grip got loose, I immediately rushed into the direction of the black swordsman, who was distracted by Zion.

"Let go of Erylle!!!" I shouted and prepared my right fist to punch him directly into the face.

Crack...It landed perfectly.

The platinum colored glass mask started to break slowly and the swordsman wearing it flinched for two seconds. Erylle was finally freed from the swordsman's grasps, and she made a backstep making a momentum, and made a roundhouse kick directly to the face of the swordsman.

The glass mask became powder in no time, and a pale scarred face appeared on the fallen swordsman. He has a long braided black hair.

We never knew it was him the whole time.

"A-Atlas!?" Erylle's face whitened in shock.

Upon saying that, the swordsman immediately got up, drew his sword and hacked into my direction, but Erylle pushed me back and received the slash. It was not a serious damage, but Erylle had her left arm bleeding.

She held her wound with her burnt hands and cried.

"W-Why did you do t-this...Atlas..."

Now this situation is surely screwed up. But it becomes worst.

Benedict already made his move against Zion. He teleported to Zion's back and punched his face, making him flying in the air for about five seconds then catching the long haired freak's punch on the air, making him fall like a missile into the ground that made a small crater on the field.

Zion got a grip of himself, pointed the two guns he was holding to the flying Benedict, and fired ten times simultaneously. It hit Benedict's face, chest, and arms, but it didn't have any effect. He is a living bulletproof. He's not even recognizing any pain at all.

He smashed himself down into Zion's lying ground. Then he grabbed Zion's neck, forcing him to suffocate.

"I can kill you with Heartstopper, but I don't feel like it. I will make you suffer for what you did to my comrade."

Then Benedict made a few punch on him like a worn out punching bag.

"You will not understand!" Atlas shouted, gritting his own teeth.

"I will...If just...If just..." Erylle bowed and continued to shed tears.

Erylle's heart is obviously broken. She seemed to be in pain more than all of us.

I immediately <Timelocked> everything. This is more chaotic than I thought. What should I do? Should I help Zion, who is about to die? Or should I help the confused Erylle?

I dispelled my ability, not having any decision at all.

Pat.

A gentle hand tapped my shoulder. It was a man, who was wearing a hooded black leather jacket. I can't identify who he is because he was covering his lower face by a black scarf. But at the back of his jacket...is a golden sigil of a wolf's head.
