Taehyung was screwed. Oh boy, he was so screwed.

Why oh why did he decide it was a good idea to bring his dummy into school? And why, out of all places, did he leave it in his bag?

Taehyung was panicking, sitting in his designated desk, drumming his fingers anxiously against the wood as he watched students file into the classroom. The teacher wasn't there yet so Taehyung had some time to calm himself down.

"What are you planning to do with it?" A low, uninterested voice asked, and Taehyung felt his body stiffen when he heard a laugh, followed by the words 'watch this'.

"Hey, Taehyung," the same voice snickered and Taehyung turned around stiffly in his seat, his heart near enough leaving his chest when he saw his dummy, the ring being twiddled between the boy's thumb and forefinger.

Taehyung could feel himself trembling at the sight of his comfort item, and even more so at the dirty smirk on the boy's face. Out of everyone who Taehyung's dummy could've ended up with, this guy and his group of friends were definitely the worst.

Nobody else in the room was really paying attention to this guy at first, but when he stood up and cleared his throat, both Taehyung and Yoongi's eyes widened.

"What are you doing?" The boy next to him asked, cat-like eyes closing and opening once again.

"Relax, Yoongi, it's fun," the boy holding the dummy reassured him, but neither Yoongi or Taehyung looked very reassured. "Looking for this, Taehyung?"

Said boy's mouth went painfully dry as all eyes in the room settled on him, whispers and giggled arising from corners and snippets of the room.

"Why would you even bring a dummy into school, what are you, a baby?" He sneered, and Taehyung felt tears fill his eyes again.

"Hey, that's enough," Yoongi tried to intervene but Taehyung was already up from his seat and out of the room before anyone could stop him. Luckily, the teacher hadn't arrived yet so Taehyung managed to escape from that godforsaken classroom without any consequences.

"Ha, what a baby," the boy holding Taehyung's dummy laughed as he sat down, and Yoongi bit his lip as he watched the door in hopes that Taehyung would miraculously come back for his bag or something but he didn't,

Glancing up at the clock, Yoongi made no hesitation in snatching the dummy out of his friend's hand and grabbing Taehyung's open bag from under his desk before making a beeline for the door, ignoring the sounds of his classmates and the newly arrived teacher yelling after him as he ran down the corridor without looking back.

He searched all over the whole school for Taehyung, about to give up and head back to class to face the wrath of an angry teacher when he heard a quiet sob come from the janitor's closet next to him.

Knocking on the door softly, Yoongi didn't wait for a reply before he opened the door ajar - he was going in whether or not the person behind the door wanted him to so why not just do it?

Yoongi actually felt his stomach sink when he saw none other than Taehyung huddled in the corner of the small room, knees pulled up tightly to his chest as he rocked back and forth unsteadily, head resting between his knees.

In the dimly lit room, Yoongi could just about see Taehyung's trembling and shut the door quietly behind him.

"Taehyung. Hey," he said softly, and Taehyung raised his head from his knees hesitantly, his eyes red and puffy and cheeks streaked with dry tears that stuck to his face like glue. "Taehyung, I-"

"If you're here to laugh at me, then just do it," the younger male spat, sniffling very loudly. "Call me a baby, call me weird, call me a freak. Go on then, do it!"

Yoongi felt his heart break a little when Taehyung's voice cracked and he was back to crying. He instinctively walked over to Taehyung and knelt down in front of him, cupping his face with the hand that wasn't holding the dummy.

"Baby, I'm not going to do that," the older male reassured, and Taehyung inhaled sharply at the pet name. "My cousin is a little just like you."

"R-really?" The little asked quietly, eyes widening slightly, and Yoongi didn't miss the way his voice slipped up an octave.

"Really," Yoongi nodded, holding Taehyung's dummy out for the younger to take.

Taehyung leaned down slowly, taking the comfort item into his mouth and looking up with large, peaceful eyes as he suckled on it softly, the only noises being made being the sound Taehyung made with his dummy, andt the two male's steady breathing.

Yoongi's hands found their way into Taehyung's dusty brown hair, playing with his soft tresses as he let the younger lean into his touch like a kitten.

"Can I ask you a question, twinkle?" The older of the two asked, and Taehyung responded flatly:

"You already did."

A small smile crept up onto Yoongi's face as he tugged on Taehyung's hair softly as a warning. "No, I mean a proper question." And Taehyung nodded. "Why did you decide to bring your dummy into school? Even you should know that's not a very good idea, sweetness."

"My Daddy doesn't like it when I wear dummies at home - he takes them off of me and hides them so I can't have them. A-and he calls me a baby sometimes too," Taehyung blubbered behind said dummy, and Yoongi continued to stroke his hair.

"That's not very nice," he commented and Taehyung nodded, thinking for a moment before his eyes lit up and her gasped.

"Hey, Yoonie-hyung! Will you be my new Daddy?" He asked, propping himself up on his knees and leaning forward, hands resting on the insides of Yoongi's knees as the latter sat cross-legged on the floor.

Yoongi smiled warmly before leaning up to press a soft kiss to Taehyung's forehead.

"Of course, darling."
