Yoongi watched worriedly as Jimin sat in front of the TV, clutching his stuffie close to his chest as he watched the news report intently.

At first, Yoongi didn't want Jimin going anywhere near anything that could be about the incident, as he didn't want his baby getting upset about it, but Jimin had insisted (both in big and little space) that he wanted to at least watch the first news report covering his ex's prison sentence, as he wanted to know how long he would have to be punished for.

And Yoongi figured that was logical, but seeing how Jimin was now unresponsive to everything else other than the TV in front of him, Yoongi was starting to wonder whether this was a good idea.

He thought he would let his baby be for a bit as this was something Jimin had to do in order to get mentally stronger, so Yoongi had excused himself to start making dinner - Jimin's favourite: mac and cheese.

"A man by the name of Jackson Wang was taken into police custody yesterday under the suspicion of domestic abuse against many of his ex-partners," the lady on the TV started, and Jimin clutched his stuffed rabbit tighter.

Yoongi's head also perked up at the start of the report, watching Jimin for any signs of discomfort from where he stood in the kitchen.

"Based on the severity of his crimes, he is thought to be spending up to eight years in prison, but we cannot know for sure until the date of his court hearing," she continued, and Yoongi put down his knife to step into the living room - not too close to Jimin to set him off. "A police investigation of Wang's home conducted this morning saw the revelation of cells in his basement, where it has been confirmed by Wang himself that he would lock his victims in there in order to punish them."

Jimin's little body began to tremble, and Yoongi took a step forward.

"Baby?" He spoke softly, careful not to alarm Jimin in any way. "Baby, we can turn it off if you'd like."

Jimin simply shook his head, his trembling soon ceasing to even exist within a matter of seconds, and Yoongi breathed out through his nose, still unsure.

"Police also found photos of these victims taken by Wang that he had been keeping for blackmail purposes. Luckily, none of these photos had ever been released to anyone other than Wang," the news lady concluded, and the programme continued as scheduled.

Jimin's grip on his stuffed bunny softened then, and Yoongi decided then that it was alright for him to go over to Jimin.

"So brave, baby," he cooed, wrapping an arm around Jimin's shoulder and letting the boy rest his head on Yoongi's chest. "Daddy's little soldier."

Jimin had promised himself that he wouldn't cry, but there, with Yoongi hugging him and telling him everything would be ok, he just couldn't help it.

"D-Daddy-" He sobbed, and Yoongi shushed him.

"You're ok, baby, Daddy's got you," he reassured. "Daddy will protect you, forever and ever, baby boy."

Jimin sniffled, and Yoongi reached over the coffee table to grab a tissue for him.

"Come on, baby, dinner's ready," he said after helping Jimin blow his nose, lifting his baby up off of the floor. "We can eat while we watch Moana. Would you like that, prince?"

Jimin nodded sadly, and Yoongi kissed his temple.

"My strong little boy."
