Jungkook watched his baby contently.
The little was sitting cross-legged on the soft rug, dummy lodged in his mouth and pink t-shirt hanging low enough over his thighs that the nappy he was wearing couldn't even be seen.
Most of his toys had been tipped out onto the floor around him, but Jungkook was too happy to really care much about it. He knew when Seokjin got back, though, that he would have it out for him, so maybe he should care about it. But seeing Taehyung happy was his first priority.
Work had been stressing Taehyung out lately, and with such a tight schedule left pretty much no time for leisure, which Jungkook was so glad for today.
A day off finally meant that Taehyung could be little and de-stress for a day without hurting himself or getting upset, and Jungkook would be lying if he said he hadn't missed his baby.
Right now, Taehyung was doing a puzzle. Or, well, trying to. Granted, the puzzle wasn't difficult at all, but of course it would be for someone in the mindset of a one-year old.
Jungkook noticed his baby beginning to frown, but decided not to get involved, since he knew that Taehyung would only get more annoyed if he tried to help. He was a stubborn little, that's for sure, but that's what Jungkook found the cutest about him.
Even when he was big, Jungkook would coo out loud at the vocalist's mannerisms even if they were everyday things, just because Taehyung made them even cuter.
After a few minutes of Taehyung huffing through his nose and frowning, the little finally turned to look at his caregiver, holding up a few puzzle pieces.
"Daddy help," he stated behind his dummy, and Jungkook smiled, throwing his legs over the couch to stand up and walk over to his baby, sitting back down on the floor and looking at the incomplete puzzle.
"Did you do this all by yourself, baby?" He asked, and Taehyung nodded, still frowning. "Why are you upset, baby?"
"'Cus I dun' know how to do it," Taehyung answered behind his dummy and Jungkook reached up to stroke his blue hair.
"Aww, but you've done so well so far, sweetie!" Jungkook praised, but Taehyung was still frowning. "Come on, baby boy, don't frown. Would cuddles make Daddy's baby feel better? Hm? Does baby want cuddles?"
Jungkook knew what he was saying was making Taehyung feel littler, but that was his intention. If he was able to distract him, then Taehyung would be able to relax and he wouldn't be upset anymore. And if Jungkook knew Taehyung - which he did - he knew that he would be hung up on this puzzle forever if he could.
Making grabby hands at Jungkook, Taehyung began making a fuss.
"It's ok, baby, Daddy's here," Jungkook stood up, leaning down to pick Taehyung up from the floor and resting him against his hip. "Cuddles, baby?"
"Milkies, Daddy," Taehyung mumbled into Jungkook's shoulder just as the front door opened, and Jungkook pressed a finger to his lips in a way to tell the others to be quiet.
Hoseok gave Jungkook a thumbs up, turning around to tell the others to be quiet.
"What flavour milkies, babydoll?" Jungkook asked quietly, but Taehyung was already asleep on his shoulder.
When he turned around again, Seokjin and Jimin were busy cleaning up the toys on the floor, and Jungkook mouthed a 'thank you' to them.
No other words were needed as Namjoon kissed Taehyung's head as Jungkook walked past to get to the bedroom, letting the door close and placing the little underneath the covers of his bed.
"Daddy..." Taehyung whined, not being able to feel Jungkook's warmth anymore.
"Daddy's here, angel," Jungkook hushed, crawling under the covers with Taehyung and cuddling him close to his body. "Go to sleep, ok, baby?"
"Night night, Daddy," Taehyung mumbled, snuggling up against Jungkook's chest.
"Night night, baby boy."
