Hot, fat tears ran down the very red face of Jeon Jungkook, who was standing in the hallway as naked as the day he was born crying his eyes out.

Seokjin stood just a few feet away from him, clutching the little's favourite pair of dinosaur boxers in his hands. He hated seeing his baby like this, but Jungkook appeared to be going through a phase where he would refuse to wear any form of clothing.

"Come on now, baby, it's ok," he reassured, taking a step towards Jungkook who, in turn, screamed and stepped backwards.

Seokjin was so lost. Jungkook had never behaved this way before and Seokjin had to narrow it down to something else going on maybe when he was in big space, or maybe an influence through Yoongi's little, Jimin, or Namjoon's little, Taehyung.

Seokjin leaned towards the idea of the latter.

"Jungkook, honey, I won't make you wear all your clothes, but at least but on your boxies and one of Daddy's hoodies to keep you warm. I don't want you catching a cold, love," Seokjin suggested but Jungkook continued crying.

Sighing in defeat, Seokjin decided he would be here for a while and sat down on the floor, his shoulders broad enough to trap himself between the staircase and the wall, therefore denying Jungkook of ever getting past him any time soon.

Granted, the little would be able to just run the other way and into the living room or kitchen but to Seokjin's surprise, he wasn't moving. When normally faced with confrontation or maybe even a punishment, Jungkook would always try running away but he wasn't.

It was when Jungkook eventually made grabby hands at the older that Seokjin seemed to sort of understand.

"What's the matter, Kookie? Daddy can't help you when you keep crying like that," Seokjin said, and Jungkook's cries soon reduced to sniffles and heavy intakes of breath. "Can you at least put on your boxies and tell Daddy what's wrong?"

Seokjin expected another tantrum, but he received a shy nod from Jungkook, who stepped forward to put his hands on Seokjin's shoulders as the older helped him step into his boxers.

"Good boy," Seokjin cooed, lowering Jungkook down into his lap despite the tight space. "What's wrong, sweetheart? Is something bothering you?"

"Littler," Jungkook replied quietly, rubbing at his teary eyes with his fist. "Dun wike wearing boxies or big clothes anymore."

And just like that, everything seemed to slip into place. The tantrums, the dialogue (Seokjin noticed Jungkook's vocabulary becoming more and more limited recently), the constant need for attention. Seokjin felt like crap for not noticing it sooner.

"Daddy's sorry, sweetheart," Seokjin whispered, kissing the top of Jungkook's head. "Daddy has some nappies in the bathroom in case this sort of thing ever happened - would you like one of them?"

Jungkook nodded sadly and Seokjin stood up, Jungkook on his hip as he headed up the stairs and to the bathroom. He sat Jungkook down on the closed toilet seat before rummaging through the cupboard under the sink.

"'M sowwy, Daddy," Jungkook's little voice sounded from behind him, and once Seokjin had found the box of nappies, he stood up and turned around to press a kiss to Jungkook's forehead.

"It's alright, petal - you can't help it," Seokjin reassured with a smile, motioning for Jungkook to stand up. "But you need to tell Daddy when this sort of stuff happens, ok? Daddy only wants his baby boy to be happy, not sad."
