An Outlet: Part 2

15 January, 2018 - Voting for BTS Begins.

Our first lecture in college was advertising which went like a breeze. So did Commerce. We have to write assignments in these subjects. I swear the grammar in our 'official' text books cracks me up. Some sentences make zero sense. They really should fire their editors.

After the break we had a Marketing Lecture and our professor gave us a heart attack with the presentation guidelines.

If I haven't mentioned this before, this semester for Marketing, we have an ongoing marketing plan project that is divided into phases. Phase 1 was coming up with a business idea that doesn't exist in my country and which isn't tech based. We had to submit a 1 page doc stating our idea, our target audience and our distribution process in brief. After that gets approved, we had to make a 20+ page marketing plan report as Phase 2. While working on this, we had to conduct a market survey and collect relevant data to validate our product. Phase 3 includes a PPT to be presented in front of industry men.

Since it's a competition based project (where only 8 teams will progress to the finale), I really want to do well in this project. I didn't qualify last year so I'll put in double the efforts this time around.

But the presentation guidelines fucked me up. Our professor has gone into so much details that the topics are overlapping and to find the distinction between those topics is going to be a task.

After college, Gurtley and I stayed back and tried to figure out how to go about with this project. We rattled our brains, got our doubts solved and got our ideas organised in 2 and a half hours. Apparently the template which our professor had given us can be tempered with. We can use our creativity to showcase our business idea and not just blindly follow the sequence of the template.

Today on my way back home I made a conscious decision of voting for BTS using my Twitter handle (50 votes per day). I was also involved in trying to make SERENDIPITY trend. Even though YOLO YOLO trended instead, it feels nice to be in this fandom.

You know what? I think I'm going to document my personal voting process for BTS' iHeartRadio Awards cause I am determined to be a part of this voting season.

At night, my cousins and I started planning for a family weekend get together which will take place on the 27th and 28th of this month. Alex and I had an argument over our different levels of excitement (I was too impulsive while he was being too critical) but I get his pov. He doesn't want dad to do anything that might upset mom and start an argument between them. Cause let me tell you boys, their fights ain't pretty. As in there is no physical abuse involved but the level of their arguments affects the two of us a lot.

I had a breakdown for some reason. I think I just want to stay happy for as long as I can before I get sucked into the hell hole of worthlessness again.
