Friday Night ( 10:30 PM )

"Are you guys ready to see Erica again?"
"Yeah." They replied. We all got out. The kids grabbed their bags and we walked to the door. Erica has a new home. It's right down the street from the old one. I seen Ms. Gail and her daughter are still living there.
We walked to the door and Eric knocked. I looked back at Jeremiah who was approaching as well. Seconds later, the door opened.
"Hello!" I frowned seeing Ms. Gail's daughter, Valery.
What the hell is she doing here?
We walked inside. "Where's Eri -- "
"DADD!!" The kids yelled and they all jumped on Erica making her fall. Spikes was barking trying to join the party. Yea, Spikes is staying with them as well.
"I missed you guys so much." Erica said. They stood up and Erica hugged them all. I stood off to the side watching the emotional scene. The kids were crying, Erica was crying.
I even teared up a little. Jeremiah and Erica shared the longest hug.
"How you doing man? I hears you doing good wit the ball." She said.
He grinned sniffing and wiping his watery eyes. "Yeah. And I got the ladies all on me." He said doing doing a dance and we all laughed.
"Y'all go upstairs and pick y'all rooms. Feel free to choose whatever room you want." Erica said and the kids walked to the staircase.
After they left, Erica looked at me. I looked back at her and seen her whole expression changed.
She shook her head at me rolling her eyes. "Wassup Spikes?!" She said playing with Spikes as he went wild.
I knew she was going to feel some type of negative way towards me but I don't care.
"Erica did you order the pizza?" Valery said passing me.
"Yeah. You staying tonight?" I sighed rolling my eyes seeing her all up on Valery in the kitchen.
Again, What the hell is she doing here?
"Su --"
"No!" I yelled cutting her off. They both looked at me.
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me, I said No. Erica, I don't want your little fast females around my kids. That's not gonna happen." I said.
"Lee this is my damn house. If I want her to stay, she gon stay. Just because you jealous don't mean you have to take it up on her."
I laughed. "Me? Jealous? Please Erica, your joking right?"
"Actually I'm not. Just like I'm not joking about this either." She pulled out a paper slamming it on the counter.
I rolled my eyes looking at the paper seeing it was a divorce paper. I shrugged not caring.
"I don't care Erica , we can get divorced. I'm actually happy to be leaving your broke ass!" I yelled.
"BROKE? LEE I'M FAR FROM BROKE! YOU WAS LIVING OFF OF ME! YOU WASN'T SHIT WITHOUT ME!" She yelled. I swallowed my tears.
"I hate you Erica, I really do."
"GOOD! I HATE YOU TOO LEE! SELLING MY PARENTS' HOUSE?! REALLY HOW COULD YOU?! THAT HURTED ME LEE! YOU KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THAT HOUSE WAS TO ME! THEN YOU USE MY MONEY FROM MY PARENTS' SHIT AND OPEM YA STORES! HA, DID YOU SEE I CHANGED THE PINS?!" I looked away. "Hope you enjoyed ya little luxury life. Sign these papers."
I jecked the pen out her hand. "I don't know why I even put up with you , honestly ." I said writing my name. I'm glad to divroce her ass.
"Because I gave you whatever the fuck you wanted that's why. Looking back now, I take those years being with you. I don't regret cheating or none of that.." I looked deeply in her eyes hoping to find some kind of sorrow.
But I didn't ..
"I lost all respect for you Lee.." She said sniffing. By this time, she was crying.
Valery rubbed her shoulders.
I feel bad now ... Is that bad?
"Erica I --"
"Leave Lee." She said cutting me off.
I turned around walking to the door. "I'll come get them Monday.." I said before walking out the house.
I was walking to car when I heard one of the kids call me. "MOM!" I turned around seeing Lindsey runnint out the house.
She hugged me and I cried into her arms.
"Mom, its okay." She said. Out of all the kids, Lindsey and I have the closest bond. Not only because she's my first born but because she knows what I've been going through. She seen Erica and I fuss all night.
"How could she tell me that?" I cried.
"Mom just shake it off. Move on. It's been years and its time for you guys to go your seperate ways." She said and I nodded agreeing sitting up.
"Thank you baby." I said running my hand thriugh her hair. "Take care of your brother and sister, I love you guys." I said kissing her forehead.
"Love you too." She said.
She walked to the truck and I got inside starting it and drove out the driveway.
I didn't except Erica to be messing around with Valery. She knows Erica and I were married and for her to just start messing around her with Erica is disrespectful.
I guess from this day forward, Erica hates me.
Do I blame her?
No.
But she didn't have to say she regretted being with me and doesn't regret cheating on me. That hurt me the most. But I know Erica Brown, she didn't mean it. I've been knowing her for many years and I know exactly how she is. She didn't mean what she said.
She was probably putting on a show for Valery ugly ass.
