I was just coming home from work, I walked in the house and seen Tati and Jeremiah sitting on the couch.
"Jeremiah you have to tell your mom.." Tati said. I called the door making them both look at me. Jeremiah looked like he seen a ghost, Tati was crying.
"Tell me what, what's going on?" I asked putting my bags and folder on the countertop and took off my heels. They both stayed quiet staring at me. "Somebody better tell me something or ima beat it out both of you!" I yelled getting anxious.
"Tati says she's pregnant .. with my baby.." My eyes widened. I looked at Tati and she was looking at her fingers.
I started laughing shaking my head. This got to be a prank. Jeremiah always doing those silly pranks on me so I know this has to be a prank.
"Okay guys, where's the camera?" I asked laughing. They looked at me with a confused look. "Oh don't look confused, I know this is a prank. Where's the camera?" I looked around trying to spot a camera.
"Mom, this isn't a joke. Tati is 2 months pregnant." Jeremiah said. I stopped laughing looking at her.
"Tati, is this true?" She hesitated, then nodded. I sighed looking away.
"I told you Jeremiah, I TOLD YOU! See what happens when you want to go and stick your damn dick in every female! I told you! Now look at you, going to be a father." I said. My leg started shaking. "And you, you are too beautiful to be acting this way Tati. Do your parents know?"
She shook her head, "I can't tell them, they'll kill me. Ms. Lee. They'll kick me out the house and everything." She cried harder.
"Tati you HAVE to tell them. They're going to be the baby's grandparents. I'm sure they'll understand it was a mistake that happened." I said. I wish I could. I really want to beat Jeremiah's ass right about now.
He lucky my feet hurt and I'm tired.
"Ms. Lee please!" She begged. Jeremiah sighed. "I watched them put my sister out when she got pregnant and they made her get an abortion. I don't want to go down that road. I want to keep my baby." She said touching her stomach.
I honestly feel bad for the poor girl. She not even finish high school yet and she already pregnant.
I looked at Jeremiah. I don't know what the hell he's going to do. I told him this was going to happen at some point in time. He need listened. He allowed it to go in one ear, and out the other. Now look at him.
"What do you have to say? Your going to a dad Miah, all that partying and going out with your friends gonna have to come to an end because this baby will be your new priority. College, I don't know." I said.
I'm not even ready to be a grandma. Shit, now I'm going to feel old. Then I don't want to be taking care of a baby all the time so Jeremiah better get his shit together because this won't be easy.
"I don't even know.." He shrugged. "I'm not ready for this man!" He yelled standing up and walking out the living room going outside.
"I ruined his life.." She cried. I got up sitting next to her rubbing her back.
"No you didnt Tati. He'll get over it at some point. Now listen , I know you dont want to Tati but you have to tell your parents about you being pregnant. Who knows , maybe they'll be happy for you."
