David and Emma held onto the saddle as Aqua dove down to the headmaster a few of the creatures were running at inhuman speeds towards the man, his body shaking as he waited for death. Aqua let out a roar for battle as she extended her claws out. The Dragon intercepted the creature and smashed its head into small chunks, the body slumping lifelessly.

"David, go heal the headmaster and take him to the village, me and Aqua will follow behind." Emma shouted over the snarls of the two rwmining creatures. David nodded with hesitation, making a sword out of ice and passing it to the girl. Emma smiled as he rushed over to the weak headmaster, his magic working miracles on his body. Emma turned to face the deadly creatures that had taken so many lives in the past year. If one had finally died today, then two more wouldn't be that bad either.

The creature let out a scream before bounding towards Aqua. The Dragon prepared for impact but was surprised when Emma swung her sword right into it's mouth. Unlike it's hard armour on the outside, it's mouth was soft and defenseless when his. The skin tore at the contact of the sword and blood splattered all over, just barley missing Emma.

The girl yanked her sword downwards and the creature let out a gurgle as it fell to the ground right in front of Aqua. The blue Dragon smashed its skull quickly, guaranteeing it won't get up again.

Emma spun around and noticed the third and final creature sneak up on Aqua. She ran behind the Dragon and swung her sword, but the ice blade did nothing to the skin. The girl mumbled a curse as she was swiped at like a cat toy, gaining a few deep scratches. With quick shout, Aqua turned around and clamped her jaws around the creatures armoured body. Her teeth didn't do much, but with a flex of her jaw, the sounds of bones snapping and crumbling filled the air in a warning call. The creature let out a painful scream as the Dragon flung its body to the ground. It was still alive, surprisingly, but it's wody would have a hard time healing.

Emma Lear out a breath of relief. They had managed to stop them, with a dragons help, they seemed to be difficult, but they were able to kill. Emma crawled on Aqua's back, her hands shaking from the dying adrenaline in her veins. She watched with worry as Aqua leaped closer to David, being careful not to shake the ground with her late form. David was focusing on his magic like never before, his light green magic swirling all around the headmasters body. The bleeding had finally stopped, but the wounds were still open and read to burst.

Emma jumped beside the blue haired male, putting her hand on his shoulder. The headmasters wounds began to heal at an excellerated rate,  it I'm response, Emma gained some wounds herself. When David stopped, the headmaster only had a few light gashes on his torso, and old Blood was beginning to dry and stick to his skin. Emma took a sharp breath as the new pain spread into her body, the gashes deciding to send her into a world of pain. David looked back and gasped, collecting Emma in his arms as he looked at her gashes.

"I look like skewered meat, don't I?" Emma joked with her friend.

"It's not as bad as Peter's mud baths, that kid doesn't know your supposed to wash the mud off after." David chuckled, helping Emma up slightly. He tried to heal her, but after using so much magic with the headmaster, and Emma's silent rejection, he didn't manage to take a single cut off her, much to his displeasure.  Aqua layed on the ground for David's easy access. The brunette hesitantly made her way up into the saddle, watching as David picked up the full grown man and placing him onto the saddle in front of Emma.

David hopped on with glee, his bond strengthening as he felt closer to his lifeline. Aqua purred with the feeling of her bonded on her back, the magic within them both pulsating and sending chilling vibes. The blue Dragon took it into the sky filled with panicking dragons.

The group made a loop around to look at the northern academy, the building now in complete ruin. Guards from the dragon army stood around the building as elites, dragons, and other mages used their magic to kill of the creatures. Only a few of the dark beasts fell in defeat, but they were getting up in mere minutes after healing. The elites were still missing their fire mage, but Emma doubted he would be any help at this time.

Dragons collapsed from the sky as their bonds were shattered. The screams coming from each diffrent Dragon all said the same thing on Emma's head as they died. The same word that had been repeated in her mind; for years they plagued her memories as the voices weren't directed to her.

"Saviour"

Emma wanted to scream, to tell them that it wasn't her. She built of the mental wall up again, blocking the pleas of dragons and people. David gave a concerning look back and gently grabbed her hand. His touch was relaxing, but it didn't stop the pressure the grey eyed girl felt.

David focused on flying, but kept tabs on the girl he had feelings for often. Emma took a breath as she looked down, seeing people rush out of the building with the creatures on their tails. The girl clutched her necklace, feeling a very nostalgic feeling in her chest, one that had magic buried deep within her. Emma steadied herself on Aqua's hide, but She knew She had to save them, to help in anyway she could.

"Looks like I'm going to have a bad habit of falling David." Emma yelled over the wind. The blue haired male looked back in confusion, then shouted in disbelief as Emma leaped from the blue dragon, plummeting straight to the ground.

This had better be worth it
