King Eric had lost all signs of his remaining sanity, his teeth becoming jagged, dark eyes moving into slits, he was becoming a reborn. His jaw seemed to unhinge as he let out a disgusting scream, saliva flinging out of his mouth.

Emma wasn't in the mood to watch the transformation, commanding Comet to blast his figure with flame. The dragon happily obliged, lighting King Eric's body into a dark black crisp. The magic in his veins flew up and evaporated in a rainbow-coloured smoke, the stench burning everyone's nose. The group of people just watched the scene unfold like they were expecting something much more different. The brunette smirked, turning to look at her friends.

"And that's how we avoid a whole unneeded battle-" Emma was cut off by a blood-curdling scream, the one voice seemingly joined by millions of others. Comet easily matched the roar with his own powerful one, a new challenge.

Eric's golden dragon burst through the roof of the castle like water, rocks flying and hitting the ground like meteors. Comet flared his wings at the giant golden beast, his black eyes with white specks narrowing at the other dragon. Eric's dragon was no longer sane, for as soon as his rider died, the curse easily took over. Comet looked at the other dragons flinging scales, and then at his own grey ones, huffing in annoyance. The grey dragon poured some fire into the air, his wings pushing him up into the hot element with one push, and when he came out of the other side of the flames, his scales shone, almost practically glowing.

Eric's dragon wasted no time in charging to the other large dragon, his fangs wide open as he aimed for the neck. Comet was old, and with that, knowledgeable in fights, so he easily avoided the younger dragons attacks.

The humans and smaller dragons below had scattered to the edge of the battlefield before they got squished, for no one was risking getting stomped on by the dragons, sane or not. David was carrying Noah, the random shadow mage he didn't know in his arms, his blue eyes scanning the males pale face out of curiosity. That's when he saw the large bleeding wound on his leg, the red liquid staining his clothing, he had to heal him.

The golden dragon was still in an eager mood to fight, despite the many deep wounds now tracing its body, as for Comet, the silver dragon was panting, but he had the advantage of knowing what to do, he had his sanity, despite his rider currently being held prisoner in his own academy. The thought fueled Comet's rage, the dragon going for a finishing strike.

However, Eric's dragon was waiting for this moment, and once Comet allowed his next to stretch out and expose his vitals, the golden dragon let his own jaws clamp into Comet's neck. Comet let out a roar of pain and fury, his jaws sinking into the base of the others neck. It was an even battle now, for both dragons had landed a critical hit on the other.

Aqua, who was watching her rider from the skies, looked back to the two giants, only to have her heart sink when she saw Comet with the mark on his neck. Being the selfless soul she was, her wings beat heavily in the air, and she turned herself around to help in the battle.

"Aqua! No!" She knew that voice, is was the voice of the other half of her soul, her rider, yet she needed to help Comet, he was her friend. The blue dragon swooped behind the golden dragon with extended claws, her eyes locked on the cursed dragon. When close enough, Aqua pounced onto the dragon with thrashing claws, her talons catching onto something soft.

The golden dragon screeched in pain, his clawed hands quickly reading for the smaller dragon and ripping her away and into the building wall. Aqua let out a small groan of pain, but she still got up and gave a glare to the golden beast.

Eric's dragon chuckled at the small dragons persistence, his large body slowly making its way closer to Aqua. He planned on finishing the nuisance, after all she did take out his eye.
