The reborn didn't have time to react as the force of the dragon collided with its body, causing both creatures to tumble off the slab of rock and down the mountain slightly. The dragon locked her jaws tightly down on the reborns frail neck, it's fangs creating large gashes along its body.

Emma got off the ground and rushed to Noah, who's eyes were glued onto the sight of the dragon and reborn fighting, the right catching them both in a trance. The dragon seemed to have a dark-liquid like venom foaming down from it's jaws, and each time it took a bite the reborn would screech in pain. That's when Emma realized that this must have been Noah's dragon who was currently fighting.

The reborns arms flailed around until it took a good scratch along the dragon's side, Noah wincing as he too felt the pain arise in his body.

"Noah, we gotta help her!" Emma nudged the male and have him a hard stare, which he returned with a nod. The brunette picked up a rock and trained her arm back, throwing the rock at full force where it hit reborn on the head. It screeched in annoyance, but was too focused on the battle to care about the small human below it. Noah lifted his hand and shot a small size of his magic to the reborn, the attack narrowly missing the dragon and burning the reborns skin.

The demonic creature extended its neck in pain, and that's when the dragon took its chance and attacked the weak point. With one clamp of its jaws, the dragon has finished the reborn without remorse, killing the creature and letting its head tumble to the floor. The body rolled down the mountain along with its decapitated head.

"Wow." The shadow mage whispered. The dragon turned its head when it heard the quiet exclamation, it's eyes the same shade of black as Noah's. That was when Emma noticed that the dragon has a different colouring than all the other dragons she had seen before. This dragon was pure black from horn to scale with a giant and tall figure that easily overpasses Aqua and Joel, but yet just managed to stay a tad bit smaller than Comet.

"Noah, is that-" She wanted to ask him if the dragon was his, but she was silenced with a growl from the black beast. Emma shut her mouth and glared at the dragon. She looked over to Noah, who seemed to be having his own private conversation with the dragon, so she waited, keeping her eyes peeled for anymore reborns. The dragon flexed her wings and showed off the slick black protruding spikes on her back, along with a fanned tail that helped her in flying. As for the head, there were two large horns that curved in an elegant fashion, yet intimidating all the same. It took about thirty minutes before Noah seemed to finish his mental talk with the dragon, and when he did, the grin on his face was one filled with excitement.

"Hey, Emma, meet my dragon, Spirit." Noah introduced the pitch black dragon with a faint smile, and the dragon seemed to drop it's defenses down, her eyes returning to wide black curious orbs and wings drooping slightly. The reborn had put the large reptile into a protective mode that clouded her judgement, but it didn't stop the dragon from conversing with the girl in front of her.

"You are the one that showed my rider who I was, weren't you?" The female dragon said with curiosity. Emma nodded, keeping her grey eyes on the black dragon. "I cannot thank you enough, for I am now in your debt, along with your destiny."

"What do you mean by that?" the brunette asked. Spirit smiled, showing off her pearly white fangs that could tear flesh in seconds.

"I mean that you are going to find out what you are destined to do, now, let's go find your friends." The dragon seemed to want to end the conversation as she picked up Noah by the shirt and placed him on her back, taking Emma next and placing her behind the male.

"Are you ready?" Spirit asked the two on her back. Noah cheered, for this would be the first time he would ride and bond with his dragon, one of the most important parts of being a rider. Emma allowed her arms to link around Noah's torso and keep her steady. Spirit nodded with approval, her giant black wings seemingly glittering as she raised them. Then, with a sudden down-stroke, they were up in the air. Two, three, and the fourth was to propel them forward into the air, where they began flying back to their original landing place.
