Comet was quick to act, while making sure the two humans on his back stayed in place, Comet dove down towards Aqua, who was still dealing with the dragon that collided wit her. Just beofre the dragons made contact with the ground, they separated, flying away from the ground and upwards, circling each other in a seemingly graceful dance.

The headmaste squinted his eyes, trying to see who or what decided to attack David and Comet, but when he saw the face of the rider or the red dragon, he laughed along with Emma.

"Peter!" David screamed with delight. The two laughed and enjoyed each others presence, looking into each other's eyes after so long. The two males laughed as their dragons nuzzled each other, smiling in each other's presence.

A yellow Dragon soon joined the growing crowd, Jasmine leaping off of her Dragon to land on Comet's back. The two girls engulfed each other in a hug, and the sleepy headmaster went back to a light sleep. Electra went to join the other two dragons, using a mix of chirps to vocalize each other's growing excitment.

"We heard about the attack and came as soon as we could, Peter wouldn't stop bugging me and begging me to come, so when he brought food into the question, I couldn't help but resist." Jasmine said with a smirk. Her yellow eyes landed on the fire mage, her smile growing when she saw him sqeeze the living lights out of David.

"So we gonna fly back of what? I'm actually begging to get sore from all this riding, and not to mention Peter's endless jokes." Jasmine said the last part with an exausted sigh. Emma laughed, it seemed like the only thing she could really do at a moment like this.

"Oh shi- we need to hurry back right away. If those creatures are attacking the academy's right now, then you can guess where they're heading now." Emma told her friend. Jasmine's eyes widened, leaping off of Comet and back onto Electra's back. David must have told Peter the same thing, because he was already speeding towards the direction of the academy, his dragons wings digging into the wind to push himself faster.

The dragons struggled to match his pace, but after a while the dragons were going at breakneck speed, scaring any wildlife below that happened to cross the dragons shadows. No other dragons were seen, not any living ones anyways. Emma could feel the tingles once again, and she knew the creatures were on the move. A distant laugh echoed in her ears, but she could tell it wasn't her friends, no, it was darker, more sinister.

"It's me." The voice said faintly. She blocked it out once more, keeping the positive memories in her mind to keep the voice at bay.

When the academy came into view, they all let out a breath of relief. They had made it before the creatures, and all the ice mages had created a story tall, slick wall that prevented anything from leaping over. The headmaster grinned as A few teachers on their dragons flew over, at first their faces were hard and rough, but when they layed eyes on the headmaster, their bodies relaxed.

"It's great to see you up and about headmaster. The school has been carefully managed so far, but your guidance is needed." One of the teachers, Mr. Lennons said with a frown. The headmaster frowned, looking away from his hired teachers.

"What a shame, I was thinking of retiring too." The man said. The teachers jaws went slack, leaving them dumbfounded. Peter let out a wheeze, finding his ordeal funny as hell. The headmaster joined the fire mage in his fits of laughter, the two pranksters immediately crying tears of joy. The two teachers realized that they were joking, and relaxed just a bit as they turned their dragons.

All the dragons flew to their respected stables, leaving their riders to deal with the situation alone for now. The four friends had talked while following the headmaster, not knowing what the upcoming future had in store for them.

Constant whispering was heard from the classrooms, the familiar whispers of gossip. Emma's eyes darted to a snickering kid looking at her, so Emma did the only respectful thing, flip the bird. The snickering girls eyes widened in shock, lurking back into the classroom she came from. Peter snickered at Emma's gesture, and helped her by flipping off any kids that decided to laugh at their group.

The teachers were quick to correct their students, shouting at them to get back in class. Most winced and listened, but some still watched in secret.

The teachers reached the meeting room doors, opening them up for the headmaster and his small followers. His wounds were still bandaged from earlier, but with his constant rest he had on Comet's back, he was surely healed physically from head to toe.

It felt like eternity since Emma was back at school, an empty feeling in her heart was filled as soon as she stepped into the large room with a massive table with the map of their land hovering above the table in a hologram. The students stated in awe as they filed in the room, countless eyes watching them as they joined the growing crowd that surrounded the table. The headmaster was in a chair overlooking the hologram, his careful black and white specked eyes watching a few red dots surround the northern area, some smaller dots scattered all around the map.

The dots were the reborns, the bigger the dot, the more the creatures were clustered. Most were at the northern academy, but a large hoard of dots was begging to separate from the academy, and South, right towards the central academy.
