Trunks X Reader (Best friends)

"Y/n, this is Trunks"

Those are the first words I can remember my dad saying to me. I'm sure he's said a ton of words and phrases before that, but those ones stuck with me. I was 2 years old when I met Trunks.

"Trunks, this is Y/n. She's a few years younger than you, but you two can still be friends" Trunks' mom, Bulma, said as she nudged Trunks towards me. The first thing I noticed about him was his hair. It was a beautiful pastel purple colour and I loved it. I remember reaching for it and he smacked my hand out of the way.

I held my hand to my chest and teared up as I stared at Trunks. I was so angry and hurt that he had hit me

"Kakarot, your child is such a baby! She's crying over a little sla-" Trunks' father, Vegeta, began talking but he quickly shut up when I punched Trunks in the face

Trunks stumbled back and grabbed his nose as tears filled his eyes. I stuck my tongue out at him and he growled at me

"Okay, okay, okay, enough" Bulma said as she pulled Trunks away from me. She checked his nose and then looked back to my parents and I

"Y/n got him pretty good. It isn't broken but it's bleeding" She crossed her arms and looked down at me.

"I don't like her! I'll never be her friend!" Trunks yelled from behind his mother

*6 Years Later*

"Come on! It's this way!" Trunks yelled at me as he flew through the forest

"I'm right behind you!" I giggled as I followed. Trunks was now 10 and I was 8 and we were inseparable. It took Trunks about a week to forgive me for punching him when we were younger. After that we immediately became best friends. We did everything together.

"Are you sure you know where you're going?" I asked him as he slowed down and looked around the unfamiliar forest. His dad had been training here a few weeks ago and told Trunks' mom about a huge waterfall he saw. Trunks wanted to find it and see it for himself

"Yeah!" Trunks said as he furrowed his brows and stared at the trees. He was lost but wouldn't admit it

"This way" He pointed left and flew off. I rolled my eyes and followed my friend

After a few more hours of "I know it's this way" and "After these few trees we should be there" we finally found the waterfall

"Wow" I said as I walked through the large open field. I stared at the beautiful sight before me. The waterfall was around 20 feet tall. It dumped down into a small lake that looked to be around 14 feet wide and way deeper than I could swim. The water was crystal clear blue and I could see all the small fish in the lake. There was a small sandy beach area to the left of the lake but the rest of the surrounding area was just small cliffs and rocks.

"Told ya I knew where it was!" Trunks yelled as he flew to the top of the waterfall. He landed next to the water and smiled down at me

"What are you doing?" I asked

"I'm gonna jump!" He laughed as he put his hands on his hips

"Don't! It's too high!" I yelled. It was hard to see his face from so far away but I'm pretty sure he rolled his eyes at my comment. He took a few steps back and then ran to the edge. He jumped off the cliff and his arms flailed as he fell to the lake.

I watched him land in the lake with a huge splash and shielded myself from the falling water. Trunks emerged and was laughing harder than I've ever heard him laugh

"Come in!" He yelled as he swam around and splashed me. I shook my head no and pulled my knees to my chest

"Y/n! Come on" He groaned as he swam towards the edge of the lake. He pulled himself up and out of the water and sat next to me on the grassy edge
