Vegeta X Reader (Human/Saiyan)

"Thanks for doing this guys." Bulma happily said as she stood in front of her best friend and the Saiyan who lived with them. Y/n smiled at her friend but as soon as she heard Vegeta grunt she lost it and glared at him. He glared back and Bulma rolled her eyes before walking away from them. She knew they couldn't stand each other but needed the both of them for her tests.

"Alright, so, I'm gonna inject you both with this serum." She explained as she grabbed two syringes filled with blue liquid from the metal tray.

"And then just, ya know, observe you guys and whatever for the next few days." She said as she walked back over to the pair. Y/n and Vegeta were both sitting in metal fold out chairs in the center of Bulma's lab. They both had on short sleeve shirts and rubber bands tied around the upper part of their arms to help pop the veins out more. Y/n was sitting up straight and had a small smile on her face, she was happy to help her friend. But the Saiyan sat slouched back and was annoyed to be there, but he felt like he had to because Bulma does so much for him. He owed her.

"And what exactly does this serum do?" Vegeta asked as he raised a brow at the human. She set each serum down on the metal trays next to each person and checked Y/n's veins before putting her white latex gloves on.

"It's supposed to slow down the ageing process. I wanna test it on a Saiyan and human but also male and female." Bulma explained as she looked over at Vegeta.

"Why?" He asked her, furrowing his brows.

"Because my mom's getting older and wants me to help her...not get older." Bulma chuckled.

"So why test it on me?" The Saiyan asked as he glanced over at Y/n and then back to Bulma.

"Goku heard my mom and I talking about it the other day and said he also wants the serum to slow his ageing. He wants to live longer and get stronger or whatever." She explained as she picked up the serum from the tray by Y/n.

"Of course he does." Vegeta harshly said under his breath. Bulma looked down at her friend and held the needle up, showing her she was ready. The human winced and closed her eyes tightly as she turned away from the needle. Vegeta rolled his eyes at this but decided to wait until she was done with to make fun of her.

"Alright, inhale." Bulma softly said as she placed the tip of the needle right above the vein. Y/n inhaled hard and Bulma stabbed the needle into her friend's skin, piercing the vein and injecting the serum into her. She quickly pulled it out and Y/n relaxed as she opened her eyes back up and looked down at her arm. Bulma placed a cotton ball against the small wound and untied the rubber band from Y/n's arm.

"Baby." Vegeta scoffed as he stared at the human. She glared over at him and bent her arm, holding the cotton against her as she leaned back in the chair.

"Not everyone enjoys pain like you, you freak." Y/n snapped back. Vegeta growled and Y/n flipped him off as Bulma moved over to his tray. She changed her gloves and grabbed the second syringe.

"Alright, hold still." She said as she put the needle against his skin. He stared at Y/n, not breaking contact as Bulma pushed the needle into his arm. She injected him, pulled the needle out and handed him the cotton ball to stop the bleeding. He tossed it on the tray, tore the rubber band from his arm and flipped Y/n off as he left the lab.

"He's such a dick." Y/n said as she stood up and unbent her arm. She checked the small hole and saw that it was no longer bleeding.

"Don't I know it." Bulma chuckled. Y/n threw the cotton ball away and said goodbye to her best friend before leaving the lab. She walked outside into the heat and inhaled the fresh air as she closed her eyes. She opened them and spotted Vegeta to her left, training in the yard near the pool. Y/n didn't really hate Vegeta, well, not anymore at least. In the beginning she did, but it faded over time and she started to enjoy being around Vegeta. Only problem was that Vegeta now hated her and she couldn't just stop "hating" him.
