"Moving houses?" Eddy asked, taking his violin down from his shoulder. He had been practicing for almost an hour when Brett suddenly barged into the little studio with his laptop. "Like moving in together?"

Brett stopped in the door, letting out a little snort.
"Dude, we've practically been living together for months, but that's not the point. We'll need bigger space when we get our girl, and..."

"So you're saying we're gonna buy a bigger house just like that?" Eddy asked, raising an eyebrow. Brett got really quiet, and Eddy could almost see his brain process the sentence.

"I mean, if... If you want that? I get if you want to wait a bit, it's kinda soon..." Brett began to say, turning redder and more unsure with every word.

"No, no, I want that! I just don't know how we practically will do that, unless you're sitting on a pile of money I don't know about," Eddy explained, walking over to him to kiss his forehead. "Wouldn't the easiest thing to do be to just move both of us to your place? It's bigger and..."

"But it doesn't have a separate room for her," Brett exclaimed with a sigh, pointing to his laptop screen. "Just look at this with me, please, I mean... If... If we sell both our apartments...?"

He clicked through pictures of an admittedly nice looking modern house with three bedrooms, large windows and even a little garden. Brett looked from the computer screen to Eddy and back.

"I mean, I... I get it if it's..." Brett began when Eddy moved away to put his violin in its case. "If it's too soon..."

Brett watched as Eddy took his time wiping off his violin, untightening his bow hair and placing everything in the case and closing it. Then he turned to Brett again, taking long steps over to him and sneaking an arm around his waist and leaning down to kiss him.

"I do want that, Brett. I can't believe YOU want that, but I want that domestic life with you," Eddy exhaled, looking down at Brett's computer screen. "Let's sit down to look at this maybe?"

"God, I love you so much, I really do," Brett sighed, hugging Eddy with his available arm before tiptoeing up to kiss him. "I really do, so so much."

"I try to remember that, yeah," Eddy said with a tiny smile."Let's go sit and look at this properly. I'll make coffee."

Brett followed Eddy to the kitchen, setting up his laptop on the kitchen table so they both could see. Eddy's last comment stung a bit, reminding him of everything he'd done to mess Eddy up.

"So we'll need three bedrooms, yeah? You and me in one, babygirl in one and work in the third?" Eddy asked as he found two mugs to have coffee in, the scent of coffe filling the air as it brewed. Brett's heart melted at "babygirl."

"Yeah, that's... That's what I thought at least?" Brett answered, clicking through the various options he'd found on his laptop. "I found this one with... Uh... Two bathrooms as well... It's... It looks nice..."

Eddy poured the freshly brewed coffee into the mugs and handed one to Brett before sitting down next to him.
"Let me see, then."

Brett pushed the laptop over so Eddy could see, watching his reaction.
"I... Eddy, I completely get if this is too soon and I don't want to push you, especially after all I've done and..."

"You sound like me," Eddy mumbled, only half paying attention as he was reading about the house Brett had showed him. "Stop sounding like me."

"Sorry, I just... I wish I could fix everything and..."

"Shut up and just love me. We're getting a house, end of."
