Following their intimate wedding ceremony was a serenaded sunset cruise, on which Jeong Hyeok and Se-ri had a guitarist sing for them, as they sipped cocktails while watching the orange sun descend into the faraway horizon.
Well, it was still a mocktail for the breastfeeding mother, but it was good enough.
Everything was perfect, just as how she had always envisioned her wedding to be.
Simple and intimate, attended by those who truly mattered.
Of course, she would have liked for their family members to be around, but it was alright, they had heaps of photos to share.
After a sumptuous private barbecue dinner on the beach, the couple had returned to their one-bedroom villa where Jeong Hwan had been put to bed.
Now at nine months of age, it was so much easier to cope with his night feeds.
What used to be seemingly endless two-hourly feeds throughout the night was now once every four or five hours, allowing the first-time parents to have some semblance of privacy in their lives again.
With Jeong Hwan fast asleep, Se-ri and Jeong Hyeok went out to the stretch of private beach just meters away from their villa.
Suddenly, it was just the two of them again.
Dressed in a bohemian embroidered kaftan top and a white string bikini underneath, Se-ri took his breath away once again.
She was so at ease around him, humming a merry tune, playfully kicking up powdery sand with every step she took.
Life hadn't been kind to his Se-ri, but time made up for it.
Time was extremely kind to her; his wife still looked just as beautiful as the day when he first saw her on Sigriswil Panorama Bridge.
Suddenly, he felt a playful smack to his shoulder.
