Maya was finishing up her homework on a normal Wednesday night.
She suddenly heard her phone beep from by bedside.
She got up, and unplugged the phone from its charger.
Lucas: hey babe.
Maya smiled at the text message, getting a warm feeling inside.
Maya: hey. How is Texas?
Maya and Lucas have been dating since freshmen year but Lucas moved back to Texas a few months ago.
They have been on a long distance relationship, and it wasn't easy.
Lucas: great. But I'm missing you :(
Maya: I miss you too :(
Of course they stayed in contact, but it wasn't the same.
Lucas: hoping to fly out to ny soon ☺️
Maya: are u sure?
Lucas: yes baby I promise...
He then texted another thing.
Lucas: I miss seeing your beautiful face everyday
Maya blushed, even though he couldn't see it.
Maya: please come back... Soon.
Lucas: Okay :)
The conversation ended there for a few minutes until she got another message.
Lucas: oh and Maya?
Maya: yah
Lucas: look out your bedroom window... Where I used to see you.
Maya was beyond confused, but did it since she was curious.
She opened the window and looked outside into the night.
She then looked down to see... Lucas. On her phone.
"Surprise." He said, smiling.
Maya leaned down and kissed him, planting kisses all over him.
"I don't like long distance relationships." Lucas breathed.
Lucas picked Maya up and Maya yelped quietly.
They stood outside of Maya's bedroom and Lucas smiled at her. "I'm here to stay....for now."
Maya leaned her head on his shoulder. "Stay as long as you want."
