How I think girl meets first should've been like...The things the characters say and do isn't the same as the episode, so that's why it's called my version.

We were sitting on the subway, not saying any words.Right now I was on my very first date.
I looked across the subway to see Maya and Farkle talking with Joshua.
I sighed, carefully looking to my right.
To be honest, I only offered to go on a date with Riley because I felt bad.
She's one of my best friends, but I just don't see us being more than that.
I looked across the subway to see Maya sitting next to Joshua now.
They were sitting close. Too close.
"Uh Lucas?" I heard Riley say.
I turned my attention to her. "Yeah?"
"Why do you keep looking over there?" She said, motioning towards Maya and Joshua.
I shrugged. "No where else to look I guess."
I caught myself looking back over there and seeing that Maya was sitting on Josh's lap.
I felt anger go through my body. Why was she sitting on his lap?
I suddenly turned to my date. "Climb on my lap."
She looked at me. "What?"
"Just do it." I said, trying to act casual.
She slowly climbed onto my lap, and now our faces were inches away from each other.
Once she adjusted herself, we locked eyes for a second.
Then, I felt her leaning in closer to me.
I leaned away. "I can't. I'm sorry."
She leaned back as well, looking a little embarrassed. "Why not?"
I looked over to where Joshua and Maya used to be.
They must've gotten off the subway since we were at a stop.
I then looked back to Riley. "I have feelings for someone else."
"Who?"
I looked down. "..Maya."
Riley nodded and got off my lap, sitting next to me again.
"I knew it." She said.
I was confused. "That obvious?"
Riley nodded. "Well yeah. You were looking at her more than your actual date."
I felt guilty, to be honest. "I'm sorry Riley. I really like you but as a friend only."
Riley smiled. "I understand. As long as we are friends, I'm good."
We exchanged a small hug and released it.
We quickly got off the subway before it could leave again and I saw Maya sitting alone.
Riley took the hint. "I'm gonna go find Farkle."
She walked away, leaving me alone with Maya.
Where did Joshua go?
I slowly started walking towards Maya's direction.
Her back was facing me, so she couldn't see me.
I came up and tapped on her shoulder lightly.
She turned around and I saw tears were in her eyes.
She was crying about something.
"Oh hey Lucas." She said.
I sat down next to her. "Why are you crying?"
"I'm not."
I raised an eyebrow. "I see tears in your eyes Maya."
She sighed. "I wouldn't expect you to understand.."
"What is it? Does it have something to do with Joshua?" I asked.
"What's with all the questions ranger rick?"
I chuckled a little. "Listen, Riley and I aren't going out... Anymore."
I don't actually think we were ever officially going out but...
"Why not?"
"Because I have feelings for someone else." I confessed.
Maya let out a silent 'oh' and I continued speaking.
"And i don't think she feels the same way.." I said, looking at her.
Maya crossed her legs. "I do know how that feels."
I nodded. "So...what do you think about this.. What if the girl you like likes someone else? What should I do?"
Maya shrugged. "I don't know. Just go for it I guess."
She then looked at me. "You don't know unless you try... Except I learned that the hard way."
We both laughed and stood up from the ground.
We started walking out of the building.
"Well I'll keep that advice in mind.. Thank you." I said.
