I reached up at a certain spot to hang a ornament.
As I grabbed another ornament, I bumped into Lucas. "Sorry." We both mumbled.
We both looked up to see Cory hanging a mistletoe over our heads. "Mistletoe!!"
"Not gonna happen." I said walking away.
"Nope." Lucas said.
"Aw dang it." Cory said.
I stood on top of the ladder, carefully covering the walls with Christmas decorations.
I stepped down with Riley's help and jumped to the floor.
I stepped back while looking up, admiring the decorations.
I almost lost my balance and almost fell into something.
I turned around to see Lucas there.
"Sorry again." He said.
"Haha..."
Cory came running out of nowhere and said "mistletoe!!!"
"STILL NOT HAPPENING!" We exclaimed, walking in different directions.
-later-
Riley came over to Lucas and I holding a small object.
"You guys are kinda killing my dad here." She said.
Lucas and I exchanged glances, trying to hold in laughter.
Riley's expression changed from bored to excited. "And rules are rules now kiss!!" She exclaimed, holding out the mistletoe from behind her back.
Why didn't I see this coming??
"But I haven't even had my first kiss yet..." I whispered so Lucas wouldn't hear.
But he did. "Me neither."
I looked at lucas. "I'm sorry I ran away from you, I guess I was nervous..."
Lucas nodded understandingly. "Me too."
I thought for a moment and said slowly. "Well rules are rules.."
I saw him smile and start to lean in towards me.
I awkwardly leaned in also, not knowing which way to lean.
Our lips connected and it honestly felt... Amazing.
Our kiss released after a few seconds and we just stared at each other.
After moments of silence, Lucas chuckled and said "well I didn't expect my first kiss to be with Maya hart under the mistletoe."
