I climbed up the stairs of the apartment building, searching for the right floor.
Once I got to the right place, I peered into the window.
It was Maya and that guy Jared.
The guy that was also her ex boyfriend.
You could tell that they were having a good time and were laughing about something.
I opened the door fast and saw Maya take her hands off from around his neck quickly.
"What the heck is going on here?"
Maya walked towards me. "Lucas...I swear it's nothing. We are just walking on a project."
I glanced a little at Jared and put my hands down.
Why would Maya even lie to me? We've been dating for almost two years.
"Okay." I said.
You look right in my eyes, and I know that you're lying

"Lucas please." I said, keeping him from leaving.
Lucas turned around. "You told me nothing is going on a few days ago."
"And there's still nothing! Lucas please believe me." I looked at him in the eyes.
"Then what have you guys been doing together? Do you still have feelings for him?"
I didn't know how to answer that. "I-I don't know..."

It was now a few days later, and Maya and Lucas haven't talked.
Maya knocked on Lucas's door, slowly and hesitantly.
The door opened and Lucas looked at her. "What are you doing here?"
"Lucas...I think I have feelings for Jared." Maya said, quietly.
She let it out as quick as she could.
She didn't want to have feelings for him. She didn't even know why she still did.
"I already knew that." Lucas said, trying to hide his emotions.
"Can we still be friends...?" Maya said, even quieter than before.
"I don't want to be just friends Maya. It's gonna hurt me too much." Lucas said.
But after all this time, I can't stop from loving you

"Lucas, it's been a month already. Maya's moved on. Why can't you?" Farkle asked him.
Lucas leaned up. "I don't know. But just the thought of Maya with someone else kills me."
"But she's with Jared."
Lucas scoffed at the mention of his name.
The truth is, Lucas still loved Maya. And he always will.
But, you have to move on soon enough...
