Maya's POV:
I opened my locker to find a tiny note fall out. I picked it up, sighing.
My best friend Riley, was beside me putting her books in her locker.
"Wow? Another note? That's the fourth one this week!" Riley said.
I shrugged. I didn't believe in love. I felt like this was just a scam
"These notes are so cheesy." I said, as i read the note and stuffed it in my locker.
"But adorable!!" Riley argued.
The bell rang and we headed to history class. I went in and took my usual seat in the front.
I put my pencil and notebook down when I noticed I forgot my history book.
Shoot!
I started to stand up when someone was in my way.
"Here you go."
I met eyes with Lucas friar and took the extra history book from him.
"Thanks." I muttered as I sat in my seat, Lucas following behind me.
-after school-
I walked to my locker and opened it up. A note fell to the bottom.
Ugh! When will this end?
I picked it up and opened it.
"Meet me at the baseball field after school to find out who I am."
This is such a prank. It's probably just some annoying guy in my grade trying to scam me into thinking he likes me.
Been there, done that!
Suddenly, Farkle and Riley ran up.
"Hey come to the baseball field!"
I started to say, "guys I'm not--"
Riley grabbed my right arm, motioning for Farkle to grab my left arm. They started dragging me down the hallway with my note still in my hand.
What the heck??
We made it out to the baseball field and they put me down. "You guys suck." I said.
They both smiled at me.
Are they part of this prank too?
I felt a tap on my shoulder.
I hesitantly turned around and saw.... Lucas standing there.
"Surprise." He said.
"Lucas?"
I couldn't believe it. He was my secret admirer this entire time.
Lucas grabbed my two hands and said, "I know you don't like me in this way, but can we please please hangout sometime?"
I smiled down at his hands. "How about we make it... More than a hangout... Maybe?"
Lucas just smiled. "Yeah I would like that."
