Maya's POV:
I smiled big as I woke up the next morning.
I jumped out of bed and started searching for clothes.
I heard noise come from the other side of the room. "Maya what are you doing?" Riley groaned.
We shared a college dorm together.
"Getting ready for the day?" I said in a duh tone.
Riley glanced at the clock and groaned again. "It's only 8 in the morning!!" She said, hiding her face in her pillow to block the light.
I rolled my eyes. "and I thought I was the lazy one."
I looked at my side picture and smiled. It was Lucas and I at prom night.
Today was our fourth anniversary. And I was still waiting for him to ask me that one special question...
I felt a hand on my shoulder and there stood a half awake riley. "he will ask you soon." She said, reading my mind.
I smiled. "I hope so."
Riley and I got dressed and did our makeup. Then we headed down to the main area of the college.
We went in and saw Lucas and Farkle playing pool.
They stopped when they saw me and started whispering to each other... Hmm.
Then they came over and Lucas kissed my forehead. "Happy anniversary baby."
I hugged him and let out a sigh of relief. He didn't forget this year.
Lucas held on to me and then looked at his watch. "Oh I have to go to my first class!"
I looked at his watch. "It doesn't start for another hour."
"I know but we start early today."
Lucas said, making a face.
Darn.
Riley spoke up and went to Lucas's side. "I'm in the class too!"
"Wait no your not--"
It was too late, they were gone.
I glanced at Farkle who just shrugged. "You want some coffee?"
"I guess so."
We headed over to the counter.

I walked down the dorm hallways, looking for Lucas. His class should be over by now.
I went by the physics classroom and peered inside. No Lucas.
The algebra classroom. No Lucas.
The geography classroom. Lucas!!
I was about to walk in when I saw another girl with him... Riley.
I stopped and watched them.
"I have a question to ask you." Lucas said.
"Go ahead Lucas." Riley said.
"Well um."
I watched Lucas drop on one knee and take out a box. I gasped.
"Will you marry me?"
My heart shattered into a million pieces. Lucas is cheating on me.. With my best friend.
I watched Riley's reaction, which killed me. "Yes! A million times yes!"
Lucas went over to her and kissed her cheek.
Tears started to spill and I ran away, not looking back.
