I clenched my fists together as I stared across the hallway.
My crush. And a girl. Were talking at his locker.
I have this huge crush on Joshua Matthews, even though he is like three years older than me.
It's not weird at all.
Right now he was standing with one of his junior friends who is a girl!
This can't be happening.
I bit my lip and shut my locker a little too hardly.
They continued to talk and I caught sight of someone.
I rushed over to him.
"Go on a date with me." I said as I approached him.
He turned around and raised his eyebrows when he noticed who I was.
"Are you joking?" Lucas said.
I looked back at Joshua and the girl and looked at Lucas.
"Yes! I mean, if you want to."
"Umm... Okay." Lucas said awkwardly.
The bell rang and I smiled. "Great see you later!"

It was now after school and I was looking for Lucas.
We haven't talked since this morning.
I saw him at his locker and saw Joshua in the same exact place as this morning...
I growled quietly and went over to Lucas and grabbed his hands.
"Hey Lucas!!" I said loudly so Joshua could hear.
"Hey..." He said, once again awkwardly.
"I missed you." I said, looking at Joshua's direction.
"Maya can we talk." Lucas said.
I sighed and pulled him out of the hallway.
"Look I need to make Joshua jealous." I said.
Lucas nodded. "Ah. I see."
I put my hands together. "Yeah so can you be my fake date?"
Lucas thought about it. "So your using me to get a guy?"
"Well when you put it that way..."
"I'm kidding. That's a new one. Sure I'll help you."
I perked up. "Yay great!"
I saw Joshua and the girl walking out so I grabbed Lucas's hands.
"Quick flirt with me."
Lucas did as told. "You are so beautiful maya."
I giggled. "Why thank you Lucas!"
I saw Joshua looking in our direction and I hid a smile.

Lucas and I have been fake dating for about two days now and I think it's working.
Joshua always looks at is when we are together.
I was sitting with Riley and Farkle at lunch when Riley said.
"Are you sure you are fake dating?"
I swallowed my food. "Yeah why?"
Riley shrugged. "I don't know it seems real."
"It's called acting riles."
That's when I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned around to see Joshua.
My cheeks turned immediately red and he just smiled.
"Can we talk?" He asked.
"Okay.." I said, slowly standing up and following him.
We stood in the hallway and he started to speak.
"So umm... I noticed you are dating friar." He said.
"Oh no no.. I mean we broke up.." I lied.
Josh looked a little relieved but said, "oh I'm sorry."
Silence. Then he spoke again, "so I was maybe wondering if it isn't too soon... Would you like to go on a date sometime?"
I was about to open my mouth and say yes but than I closed it.
Something in my body was saying I shouldn't...
I don't have the same feelings anymore...
"I'm sorry but I can't...."
Joshua seemed surprised and than said, "oh um.. Okay that's fine."
The bell rang and I walked off before the convo would continue.
I walked in the hall and saw Lucas.
"Lucas!!" I rushed over.
He turned. "Oh hey."
I scratched my neck. "Joshua asked me out."
"Oh really that's awesome!" Lucas said.
"But I said no." I finished.
"What why?" Lucas said confused.
I shrugged, "I don't know... Something changed my mind."
The warning bell rang and I started to walk away, "I don't need you anymore but maybe we could do this another time..."
Lucas smiled a little. "Maybe we can."

I got this idea from the writers tweet about Lucas and Maya.
Like OMG. Maya asks out Lucas? WHAAATT. I can't wait for that episode.
