Going out tonight, changes into something red
Her mother doesn't like that kind of dress
Everything she never had she's showing off
Maya scurried down the stairs in her dress.
Bright red dress.
It wasn't the type of things she would usually wear.
She entered the kitchen to see her mother looking at her.
"What are you wearing?" She said.
Maya looked down. "A dress?"
Her mother walked over and examined it. "It's showing too much."
Maya groaned. "Mommmm. I'm in high school."
"You're trying to impress that boy aren't you?"
Maya's face turned red. "No."
"Well I'm impressed." The boy said, walking in.
Maya gave him a "you're not helping" look.
Driving too fast, moon is breaking through her hair.
She's setting for something that she won't forget
Having no regret is all that she really wants
It was a dark and starry night.
"Lucas where the heck are we going?" Maya said from the passangers seat.
Lucas hid a smile. "You'll see."
Lucas's car was one of those cars without a roof.
They both listened to the sounds from outside.
Maya kept getting hair blown into her face and she sighed.
After awhile, they came to a slow stop.
Maya looked around and a smile crept onto her face.
"Lucas I can't believe it."
We're only getting older baby
And I've been thinking about you lately
Does it ever drive you crazy just how fast the night changes
Maya slowly stepped onto the stage.
Here she was, graduating high school.
She looked to the crowd and saw her fellow students.
She saw the excited and anxious expressions on their faces.
Especially one of them.
Lucas friar, her best friend since kindergarten.
She couldn't believe it. 13 years have pasted since they met.
It went by so fast.

Disappearing when you wake up
But there's nothing to be afraid of, even when the night changes

Maya looked in a certain direction, at two people.
Her best friend. Her crush. With another girl.
She watched as they hugged and Lucas came towards her.
He smiled a charming smile at her. "Hey Maya."
Maya didn't say much. "Hey."
Lucas noticed right away what was wrong. "Maya I know you're upset."
"I'm not."
Lucas was silent but put a comforting arm on her shoulder.
"Just because Riley and I are dating.. Doesn't mean things will change between us."
Maya bit her lip. "I know."
They hugged for a few moments and didn't let go.
"It will never change me and you." Lucas whispered.
A/N
It seems like everybody in the world knows about the Rucas kiss.
I watched it a few times and it looks like Lucas smiles a forced smile after Riley kisses him.
Who knows...
