Lucas ran into the hospital, as fast as his feet could take him.
"I need to see Maya Hart right now!" He yelled at the lady behind the counter.
I'll be the one if you want me to....
"Sir calm down!" The lady said.
"How can I calm down when the love of my life is possibly dying at this very moment?!" His voice choked up.
Anywhere I would've followed you...
The nurse looked at a paper. "Room 256."
Lucas didn't thank her. He just ran down the hallway, searching for the room number.
Maya hart was hit with cancer when she was only 10 years old. She was fighting it hard, but it was starting to ware off.
He finally found the door and opened it and saw the most horrible sight ever.
Maya was connected to many different chords and looked hopeless.
Say something I'm giving up on you...
"Maya..." His voice started crack and choke up.
He turned around to see Riley and Farkle there, both with tears in their eyes. "Lucas it's hopeless..." Riley said, in between tears.
Lucas stared at Riley. "Are you giving up?! For Maya? Maya is a fighter! She's gonna make it through this!"
They didn't say anything. They all just stared at their lifeless best friend.
Suddenly, mrs friar and mr friar came in the room. Mrs friar went over and immediately hugged Lucas. "Honey.."
"Mom... Maya's gonna make it." Lucas said, pushing her off. "she's gonna make it."
Mr friar put a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry son."
Everybody left the room except for Lucas.
He sat in a chair and just stared at Maya... His love.
"Maya... Everybody's saying your not gonna make it... But I know you are."
He reached for her hand and clutched it. He didn't feel her grab back.
"I've been wanting to tell you this for a long time..... I love you Maya hart. I love you so much." He choked up.
Maya didn't move in the bed, her eyes still closed.
"Please say something..." Tears started coming.
A nurse came in the room and looked at Lucas. "Guest hours are over."
Lucas slowly stood up. He took a look at Maya and wiped his tears. He put his hand on the door.

"I love you too Lucas." She said weakly.
