"Look mommy! It's Christmas!" Jade Friar said, staring out the window at the pecks of snow falling.
Maya walked over to her daughter and picked her up. "It's almost Christmas! It won't be until you go to sleep."
Jade tried to wiggle out of her grip and made a pouty face. "I'm not tired!"
Maya ruffled her hair and said. "You wanna help out cookies and milk for Santa?"
Jade perked up. "Yes!"
Maya put her down and watched as her daughter ran to the kitchen.
Maya chuckled quietly and followed her to the kitchen.
"Come on Cole hit your peaches." Lucas said, trying to feed the infant.
He refused and threw the bowl to the ground, peaches going everywhere.
Lucas groaned while cole plastered a smile on his face. "Cole!"
Maya rushed over and put a hand on his shoulder. "I'll clean up, can you help jade get the milk out?"
Lucas kissed her cheek softly. "Anything for you."
Maya leaned down on the floor and cleaned up with paper towels, looking at the smiling infant.
"You are a messy eater. Just like your daddy was." Maya said, cleaning his face up.
Lucas heard that from the other side of the kitchen. "Hey!"
Maya smiled at him. "Your mom gave me pictures."
Lucas made a pouty face. "You suck."
Jade stood between them and pulled on both of their arms. "I'm tired."
Lucas leaned down and said, "you want presents huh?"
Jade smiled. "Exactly!"
Jade ran up the stairs to change into her pjs and Lucas and Maya tucked her in.
"Goodnight." Maya said, kissing one side of her cheek.
"Goodnight mommy." Jade said, snuggling up to her blankets.
Lucas leaned down and said, "Santa won't come until you fall asleep."
Jade sighed. "I know I know."
Lucas stood up. "Goodnight princess "
He turned off the lights and shut jades bedroom door.
Lucas and Maya went down the stairs and Maya took Cole to his nursing room.
After a little while, Maya sighed coming down the stairs.
"Finally, peace and quiet." She said.
Lucas was looking in some boxes and then pulled out an item.
He held it up over him and Maya. "Mistletoe."
Maya smiled. "Well rules are rules."
Maya leaned in and closed the gap between them, sharing a passionate kiss.
"Merry Christmas Maya." Lucas said into the kiss.
"Merry Christmas."
