I watched as Riley fanatically went through her bags.
"Riley. I think you have everything." I told her.
She dropped a piece of clothing to the ground and looked at me. "I feel like I'm forgetting something!"
I placed my arm on my shoulder. "You have 3 bags. You should be fine."
Riley sighed, not fully convinced.
She picked up the stuff she threw to the ground and we headed outside.
It was Riley's 17th birthday weekend and we were celebrating by going on a road trip with our other friends.
We were going to last year, but we needed to get Riley's parents trust first.
We got outside and saw Lucas and Farkle with their stuff ready.
Lucas approached me. "Two bags Maya hart?"
I rolled my eyes. "Riley is making me carry one of hers."
I threw it to Riley and she caught it in her arms.
"Helping would be nice." She mumbled, looking at me.
I smiled simply at her and headed towards Riley's car.
Farkle and Lucas helped her and each took one bag.
We opened up the trunk and packed our stuff.
I grabbed my headphones and full charged phone for the trip,
"So what are the seating arrangements?" Lucas asked.
"I call sitting next to Riley." Farkle exclaimed.
Riley made a face at the weird crush Farkle had on her and sighed.
"Fine. Maya and Lucas your in the back." She said, climbing into the drivers seat.
I got into the back seat to see it was pretty small.
Lucas got next to me and I realized our shoulders and legs were touching.
"Umm.. Riley is there anyway to make the seats bigger back here?" I said, shifting.
Riley shook her head and I sighed, leaning back in my seat.
Riley started the car and the road trip started.

It's been about one hour and we were starting to get in the middle of nowhere.
I plugged my headphones into my phone and started listening to my favorite band, "walk the moon"
Ahh I love their songs so much.
I looked outside to see it was getting dark already since we left kinda late.
Riley said we were planning to drive a few more hours, but may take turns driving.
I leaned against the uncomfortable car window and listened to the music.

I watched as Farkle tried flirting with riley in the front seat and she just fake smiled the entire time.
I felt Lucas shift in his seat and i looked at him.
He had been pretty quiet the entire trip.
"What's up cowboy?" I asked, taking my headphones out.
He shrugged. "Nothing."
He randomly flashed a smile at me and I couldn't help but smile back.
I looked down at our legs to see them still touching.
No personal space whatsoever due to the small seats.

I yawned loudly, leaning my head against the car window.
Farkle and Riley had switched places and Farkle was now driving.
"don't kill me in this Minkus." I said to him.
He shot me a glare and I smiled innocently.
I looked at the time and it was about 11 pm.
I looked to my right to see Lucas sleeping lightly, not leaning on anything.
I studied him carefully. He looked peaceful and calm while sleeping, but a little uncomfortable since we were in a car.
I yawned again and Lucas slowly woke up and looked at me.
"Sorry. I'm just tired." I said.
Lucas sat up a little in his seat. "Go to sleep."
"I can't. This car is uncomfortable as heck." I admitted.
Lucas nodded, agreeing with me.
We both stopped talking, and looked out our side windows.
After a little while, I felt like I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore.
I slowly let my head fall onto something and I fell asleep in a deep sleep.
Lucas's POV:
I looked to my shoulder to see Maya was leaning her head on it.
I looked to my front to see Riley and Farkle weren't looking back.
I slowly kissed Maya's forehead and whispered, "goodnight."
She had a smile on her face while asleep and shifted a little.
I closed my eyes as well and started to fall asleep.
