"What is he doing here?" I exclaimed.
"I don't know, but I'm gonna to give him a piece of my mind." Riley said, through clenched teeth.
I stopped Riley before she got over there. "Don't!"
Riley looked at me. "Why? He left you alone to take care of a baby! He deserves it."
I sighed. "I know. But I don't want to talk to him... Let's just go."
"Fine." Riley said, finishing her food quickly.
I saved the food for Annie for when we got home.
We started walking the different direction when we realized there was no exit.
"It's the other way.." Riley said, turning around.
"But Lucas.." I said.
Riley sighed. "Maybe we can sneak past him?"
I put Annie in her scroller since I got tired of holding her and followed Riley.
Riley speed walked past Lucas, without him noticing.
But when I came around, Lucas looked up and saw me.
I kept walking but heard him come up behind me. "Maya..."
I stopped in my tracks. "Hello Lucas.."
Riley noticed me talking to him and rushed over by my side, "why are you here?"
Lucas looked the same as he did last year, except older.
"I just came to visit.." His voice trailed off.
Riley seemed annoyed by Lucas so I stepped in front of her. "Lucas why'd you leave me.."
Instead of answering, I saw Lucas go over to the scroller and pick up Annie.
Maya and Riley watched as they stared at each other and Annie had a smile on her face.
"She's beautiful Maya..." He said, looking down at Annie.
I relaxed a little bit, "yeah she looks just like you.."
After a few minutes, Lucas handed her back to me. "I just can't be the father..."
I stared at him in disbelief and took Annie back.
That's when I burst. "You know what Lucas? I don't care! You weren't there when I gave birth, or the restless nights I had with Annie or anything! You aren't the father and never will be."
I turned towards Riley and said, "let's get out of here."
Riley rolled her eyes at Lucas and we left the mall.

Annie didn't sleep at all last night, I bet I only got two hours of sleep.
I fed Annie, who was pretty happy kid considering she got no sleep last night.
I sat down at the table and fed myself, reading texts from Riley.
Suddenly, there was a knock at my door and I groaned.
Who was here at 7 am? Plus I looked awful.
It was probably just Riley, so I went over to answer it.
Once I opened it, I saw... Lucas.
"How did you know where I lived." I said immediately.
"Farkle told me." He said.
What the heck Farkle...
"Can I come inside?" Lucas said.
"No."
