I'm not sure whether I should be happy that school starts again tomorrow, or what. And I'm very very lazy right now so I probably am just doing this the moment I wake up for the sake of getting it off my checklist.
Anyways.
3rd Person's POV
It was the next morning, 9.40 a.m. We see someone sitting up from the window. Walking to the bathroom, wearing clothes, and writing a note. All done before it was stuck on the bed and after that, bye bye. The person left, and is out of our vision now.
Ling's POV
I woke up and turned around to see whether Wanwan was still there and when I found a note, I immediately sprang to full consciousness. I rubbed my eyes and picked it up, reading it in my head, "Sorry Linguini, I have to take my leave. Hope we could cross paths in the future! Love, your fuzzy peach."
What.
Why?
I got out of bed, wore my clothes after a quick trip to the bathroom, and seeing that it's still wet, she couldn't have gotten very far.
Well, hard to say, cause her mobility is insane.
Am I forgetting something?
Yes I'm forgetting something.
What did I forget?
That I can out-mobile her.
Is that even a word?
No it isn't.
But I don't care about my English right now cause that's the least of my problems currently and the author who's controlling me will worry about that herself. (A/N: Hihi)
I dashed out the door, not bothering to check out, and flew to the rooftop of the hotel.
Huh.
I'm a blind bird in a blinding world. (The ancient Barbie Girl song)
I flew from building to building, keeping an eye out for the girl I banged last night.
Nothing.
I checked the time on a clock in a random office building. Huh. 10.08 a.m.
I decided to fly to the ice cream parlour, for that's the one place we would always meet up.
And when I saw Natalia's body asleep right there, I knew that my birdie instincts were right.
I lifted her head up and looked deeply into the skin of hers.
Huh, funny.
I only see her skin.
I placed her head back on the table before flying off.
Am I... too late?
Wanwan's POV
I found my way to the ice cream parlour and plopped my head on the table.
I had my handphone in Natalia's body for my phone's soul followed me here too (don't know how, don't know why.)
Counting down the seconds till 10.10 a.m., ten... nine... All of a sudden, I felt a sudden gush of warmth. I looked up without moving Natalia's body and saw a figure flying over. And there is only one person I know who could fly like that. Ling.
Just as he was about to arrive, I looked back at the time. Three... two... one. A crystalline tear trickled down my soul's cheek as everything went blank, Ling went out of my sight, and I found myself outside the ice cream parlour, behind the pillar where everything started five days ago.
I looked back at my body, seemed like nothing has changed.
I wanted to go back to check if Ling was still there, still looking at Natalia, whether he knows it's not me anymore.
I think he figured it out, for he's already gone.
I looked at my reflection in the glass window of the ice cream parlour and realised it looked heck different.
Like, what did my cloned soul do to me?
I decided I probably should get back home and clear everything up.
And when I got home, I was terribly shocked.
My parents weren't there anymore.
Still totally dumbfounded, I walked into my room, sure that my other self would give me some clues on what had happened in the short span of time when I was away.
I saw a piece of paper, and on it were some words written in red ink, I read it out, and I could feel my throat sting in a load of mixed feelings of anger, despair. The need for revenge.
"She killed my parents. I need to catch her. She killed them. I'll kill her."
I looked in the mirror and realised I was in a uniform of a cadet, and within these measly five days time, I managed to become a commander.
All the directions already implanted in my clone's mind which was somewhat merged with mine, I sped my way to the headquarters, more than excited to get started with my job.
The tigress is now on the hunt for the hunter.
