Ling's POV

"Oh, Ling, I'm so sorry, Wanwan has gone overseas with her father for baby training. She won't be back very soon, so I suggest you come back next year, by then her first year of baby training will be over and you can see her," Aunt Xinyue say.

Huh? Why Wanwan need to go over the seas for baby training? I don't think I did that before. I am very sad. I wanted to see Wanwan. Mummy and Aunt Xinyue started talking to each other and I sit on the floor. I wait for Mummy to talk finish.

3rd Person's POV

A year passed by in the blink of an eye. Wanwan is now back from her baby training and Ling's English improved drastically.

Ling's POV

Today my mother said I could go see Wanwan, which has been my lifelong dream, if my life started two years ago. Looking back, I now realise how horrendous my English has been. Never mind.

"Ling, let's go!" Mother called.

"Yes Mum!" I replied.

My mother picked up her purse from the kitchen counter and went to unlock the door while I put on my shoes. I got up, and we both left the house to get to Aunt Xinyue's place. Her place wasn't far from ours, so we arrived in no time. I pressed the doorbell and stood back, so I could greet Aunt Xinyue the moment she opens the door.

"Good evening, Aunt Xinyue," I greeted.

She nodded and let me in. I tried to contain my excitement but it was too hard to do so if you are going to meet someone you were supposed to when you were five but things happened and you could only meet her two years later.

I dashed in and saw a girl on the floor, in a pink romper and two pigtails, sitting wide-legged on the ground, watching Teletubbies. I'm going to tell you a secret, and don't tell anyone else, I like to watch Teletubbies, but Mickey Mouse is my favourite cartoon.

Now you know, don't judge me.

I ran up to her and sat down beside her.

"Hello Wanwan, nice to meet you!" I said.

She turned her head to look and me, and said hi.

She's two.

And she can say hi.

When someone talks to her.

That's very intriguing indeed.

"Ling! Ling! Ling!" She started saying.

How does she know I'm Ling?

She picked up something from the ground and slipped it onto her arm.

"Pew pew!" She imitated the sounds of shooting, which broke the scale of cuteness. IT WAS SO ADORABLE I'M TELLING YOU!

Even I couldn't stand it. I stood up and she did too. I walked to the playroom and she followed.

I stopped at the door of the playroom, and I guess she wasn't watching where she was going, or she didn't have quick reflexes, cause I felt her bump into my butt.

But it was when she wrapped her short baby arms around my legs that I realised – she wanted to hug me.

I wasn't a big fan of hugging, nor was I someone who could be easily swayed due to cuteness, but this one, this one was different. I don't know how she does it, or why she does it, but whatever she's doing, it's probably working.

She started to use her little baby strength to shove me into the playroom. Initially, she wasn't able to make me move an inch. Only after I decided to make her life easier by using my qinggong technique could she push me in. Once I was in, she toddled over to a chest and opened it. She pulled something out and waved it in front of me.

Die.

That thing.
