I quit.

Ling's POV

If I could even open my mouth to say a word, it would start with the letter F and end with the letter K. Fill in the rest yourself. Anyways, I don't really care anymore. Like I said, avoid it or just undertake it. I'm now pretty responsible for Wanwan so I guess I have to undertake it then. No choice.

For the next few days or so, every time we step out of the room and into a place where Zilong and Baxia are, expect to hear nothing but Chang'e humming songs. Zilong himself was injured, so Wanwan had to look after him as she was the only one who knew how to do first-aid. You want to know something? I'll tell you, but don't tell anyone else. Whenever she steps into Zilong's room, my heart will throb uncontrollably, and my fists somehow clench up into little tomatoes. If I'm not wrong, this is what people call jealousy. Or eat vinegar in Chinese. Anyways, these few days were torment to my heart, even though she's doing this as it's her duty. The fact that Zilong should be able to recuperate faster than I did as he did not have any visible injuries. And if I'm not wrong, he's purposely giving Wanwan a hard time to see how I would react. I shan't react so Wanwan doesn't suffer.

So, after these few days, we had to set foot on the battlefield once again, I have yet to fully recover, as Wanwan's attention was all diverted to Zilong instead of me as I conceal my pain as much as I can, while Zilong exaggerates it. Today is the day, we fight to the death, either die with pride, or come out victorious, this seriously depends. You have seen how powerful my sister is, needless to talk about Yu Zhong. Here is a playback in case you have forgotten how strong my older sis is.

~A few days ago~

One more blow and I die.

Yes that serious. How am I supposed to recover so fast? I didn't. And how am I supposed to kill Luo Yi? I can't. You see how useless I am? You see how pessimistic I am? Think of how Wanwan deals with this. Anyways, right now, we are packing our stuff and getting ready to go fight for our homeland. Afterwards, we opened the door that showed a long path that led to some purple cloudy area. Not like it wasn't purple and cloudy here. We carried our stuff in a big bag which Baxia carried. We started to walk along the long route towards the place where the purple clouds were swirling at a very fast rate. I walked alongside Baxia, whom Wanwan was sitting on. Zilong was puffing his chest like he was preparing to inflate a hot air balloon with his breath, and Chang'e was gliding on her moon like how she always does. The pathway wasn't very wide, so some of us had to walk on the grass.

~After some time of walking~

We have finally arrived at the purple place that reeked of Luo Yi, Yu Zhong, and burnt architecture. There was a wall which glowed blue in the middle, and lots and lots of stones here and there. Wanwan got off her ride and stood beside me. Every now and then, her cheeks would puff up, and she would jerk a little, as if she were trying to muffle her cough.

Just as I drew out my sword, Luo Yi appeared in front of us. In her hand, was the Orb of Protection that Lunox gave us earlier on. Jeez, how can I still remember that. And how did it get into the hands of her? When Zilong started to jump up and down weirdly, while holding his spear with both hands horizontally in front of his chest, Yu Zhong appeared beside my sister.

"We do not fear you, for we have the Orb of Protection!" He yelled. That was when I started to question the design of the Orb. Why would an Orb of Protection have a chunk of musical instruments inside?
