Chapter 44

Sorry for not updating for the past few days, had a lot of homework to do, and god, here is the time when all the homework starts flowing in like a strong current picking up pieces of rocks and pushing it into a random cave.

So, this is an update that I'm doing while I do my homework for Chinese.

Let's get into this.

I have a weird habit of talking to you guys before I start the chapter.

Chang'e's POV

Enough of Publish Save Preview's POV, now come and look at me.

You see, it's not very easy to be a Moon Goddess with the physical look of a six year old.

Why?

It's because when you have a physical age of six, your body tends to like to sleep at night, but that's when you're supposed to be active.

Well that doesn't matter anymore.

I've left all the work to Gavana up there.

Now, down here in the mortal realm, things can get quite interesting, especially when someone up there is linking people up with red strings, fun isn't it? Too bad, on normal occasions, Moon Gods or Goddesses get to do those kinds of things, and since there already is another one of our fellow Moon Gods in that position already, I don't get the chance to link a chunk of people.

Darn.

Anyways, currently we are seated on the top of the roof, using our leg to smash the glass panel of the office building underneath our gluteus maximus.

Just across was Wanwan and Ling, the movie we have been watching ever since we arrived in this modern-day cinema.

Oh I can't freaking wait for the moment to come.

Huh, wait, what's going on?

Is this supposed to be happening?

Wha-?

I turned around to see the two of them behind me, crying.

Why.

Why are they trying to steal the scene?

I turned around to realise that my one and only Jade bunny has been crushed to it's death by Baxia.

A moment of fury, a moment of despair, I clenched my fists and sent a whole current of shooting stars into his face.

"BLEGH, STARDUST," he screamed from his mouth.

Wait, this can't be happening.

I thought I sent out shooting stars?

Oh right, he screamed.

And thank goodness for casting a sound barrier around us, or the entire city would go deaf, for their ears can't handle hundred over decibels worth of Baxia.

I stopped firing my dust in his face, for it would be a sin if I did so.

I flopped down onto the ground, my pink skirt flopping down along with me, I picked up my compressed bunny and felt it's flat, flat body.

My brother sat down beside me and tried to place his hands on my shoulder, but there was a protective bubble for some reason.

"Leave me alone," I uttered through gritted teeth, while trying to hold back my tears.

"But-"

"LEAVE ME ALONE!"

They backed off, and backed off some more.

I'm still not satisfied.

"Further."

So they did.

No one crosses me.

I pressed the bunny tightly against my chest, it's lifeless body limping.

"WUH~HUHUHU~" I heard a deafening sound of some guy crying.

Well, it would be deafening to you guys I guess.

I turned my head to see Baxia curled up into a ball, wiping his tears dry with a bunch of his white hair.

I don't know whether I should be mad, or cry.

I felt my cheeks getting slightly wet, and I wiped it dry with my sleeve.

"Oh, bunny..."

.......

Wait, why is it moving?

Then, it just hit me.

No, not the bunny, but it did hit me soon after.

But what exactly hit me?

My mentor.

A flying stick thunked my head, and it probably appeared from the sky, of course it hurt, I was just too upset to say "ouch".

Anyways, that stick seemed to knock the knowledge out of the storage room and into the usage room.

The bunny was a freaking immortal, and would only die if attacked by magic, or had it's primordial spirit (which was stored in a teeny tiny orb the size of a slightly bigger glass marble). You can only destroy that by stabbing the center of it, or using your own magical prowess to destroy it yourself.

And that's the story of how I figured out I choked Baxia on magic dust for no good reason.

Yes, that was the story I was trying to tell you.

But eh, at least it was fun while that lasted.

Now, back to Wanwan and Ling.

Their show isn't ending yet...

(A/N: I'm so awfully sorry for not updating for so many days, school really got me occupied)
