Yes I have a very very packed schedule at the moment (due to some programming thing) and a shat ton of homework. Other than that, my five-minute attention span seems to be working very well right now (which basically means I can't focus on ANYTHING) and that sucks.

So yeah, I'll try my best to update this today (today being 30th of May 2021) and if you see this, it means that I have succeeded :D WEEHOO.

Um, also, very sorry for not updating. Apologies for making you guys panic slightly about whether or not I will go dormant for another half a year.

OKAY I'LL STOP WITH THE SHIT-CHAT AND BEGIN WITH THE STORY.

3rd Person's POV

I'll tell you, this is the longest time recorded for anyone to ever climb up the stairs in history. Considering the fact that the history here has been recorded since over a million years ago, this is record breaking to the extent.

Finally, after taking more time than they hoped, they arrived at the gates of the Nine Clouds Palace.

"God of Night, God of Fire, Goddess of the Moon and God of Thunder has arrived!" Announced a guard clad in silver armour, standing at the door of the palace.

The five musketeers walked into the palace, all of them immediately behaving at their best the moment the doors flung open. You could see this clearly from Ling and Wanwan's attitude change. From fighting like they were a married couple (sadly they aren't) to a quiet, peaceful river, just passing by with much serenity. Just that they weren't a river, of course.

They walked to the center of the palace, and knelt down in front of the Emperor and Empress' balcony in the palace, which had two staircases leading up to the balcony from either left or right side. The balcony was made of marble, just like the rest of the palace. It was covered with intricate gold carvings of clouds and other mystical beings.

"Cang Ling greets your highnesses."

"Zilong greets your highnesses."

"Chang'e greets your highnesses."

"Baxia greets your highnesses."

Wanwan, being completely and entirely new here, had no idea what to do, so she just followed suit.

"Wanwan greets your highnesses."

"BOLD OF YOU."

The empress slammed the table hard with her fist, causing Wanwan to jump.

Wanwan was very puzzled, for she had no idea what she had done wrong. All she could do was look around, and at the other four of them for hints on what she should do.

"Wha...what did I do wrong your highness?" She asked, voice trembling in fear, her small figure feeling like it shrunk to at least half its original size.

"Huh, and you still don't know how to reflect on your mistakes you lowly demon?" Said the empress mercilessly, her voice so cold you could freeze water by placing it in front of her mouth. She shot a death glare at the helpless, little Wanwan who was petrified by the sudden fury of the empress. The empress shot out a beam of magic which wrapped her in strings, restricting her movement to nothing but breathing shallow breaths and blinking. The emperor tried to stop her, but he was pushed away by the raging empress.

With a voice so cold till it pierces you deep into the bone, and a glare so fuming hot you could get a third degree burn just by being under it, you can't help but to wonder, what is she even?

"Mother, she's just an elf and knows little about this world, please be the merciful being you are and spare her life. If you must punish her, then I'm willing to bear it for her."

Wanwan glanced over to the direction of the voice from the corner of her eye and saw a white figure standing up, his fist clasped in his other hand and placed above his head as he bowed.

The empress' fire raged even more ferociously, continuing to launch emotional attacks at the poor Peach Blossom Elf. "HOW DARE YOU SEDUCE MY SON YOU DEMON."

A pink lotus appeared in her hand, blooming and withering every now and then.

Just as she was about to launch it, the emperor pulled her back, "ENOUGH. THAT'S REALLY ENOUGH. WHY IS THERE A NEED TO DO THIS?"

The empress tried to find something to say, but nothing came out of her mouth. she slumped back into her seat and pouted.

Odd sight to see.

The white figure raised his hands and directed magical prowess at the strings which bound Wanwan, and they all disappeared into thin air.

Wanwan turned her head to look at the person who saved her.

Then wished she was just killed by the empress.

(THIS IS REALLY REALLY LATE BUT SORRY)
