Wanwan's POV
"Wanwan? Wanwan? I'm sure you know me! I'm Ling, remember me?" That person whose gender is unclear started to speak.
Ling...
That familiar name...
How can I forget so easily? Why can't I remember a thing? I snapped out of my dream and sat up straight. That ling, how could a ling take the form of a human?
GAH.
The image of that thing kept disturbing me, no matter whether I was trying to read, trying to stare at the scenery, trying to peek at my fellow schoolmates. Irritating one leh. The fact that he looked so oddly familiar, and I can't just lay my finger on it, just– it's so irksome.
I dug out my cap from my tote bag I haven't carried in a long time, and a pair of shades. I put on the shades and used my cap to cover my face, so I can pretend I am in the dark, and focus on the long-bodied edible marine fish.
Ling... Ling? What? I still don't get it. I lifted my cap from my face and looked around, to see if I could get another image of this ling into my head, apart from that fish, for that fish is so not helping.
Hmm, black hair? Short, pixie length hair? Sword? Hold up, I think I've got it! But wait, that Ling in my dreams had white hair with a purplish tinge. The pixie hair was the same though.
WHAT IS GOING ON?!?
Zilong's POV
"Do you think we can cross over to their era? Do you think Wanwan will remember Ling?" I asked Chang'e, who coincidentally had the power of dream-hopping as well. Even though she knows that the Ling Wanwan knows now is not the Ling from our era, the way this would work is stupid, crazy, and all kinds of tacky.
We try to make Wanwan remember her past, remember us, so we could get her to use a time machine, come to our time and pick us up, before going back to her era again. Simple, stupid, and can go in all the wrong directions.
But still, worth a try, isn't it?
3rd Person's POV
Before these two events occured, something in someone else's POV happened, but we didn't have the time to finish it, let's go back to it.
Ling's POV
"I just wanted to say, I light you. I have been in lobster with you since I saw you, I don't know why but I did. I'm not one to get moved easily so don't let me go. And also, I can't bring myself to say those words so you figure them out yourself," she said in one huge breath.
I couldn't believe it.
Natalia–
Lighted me?
I know what it means but just– play along.
At that moment, I lost all thoughts, all cares, and scooped her up into my arms.
"In case it wasn't obvious enough, I light you too," I replied in a tone I know find so disgusting I want to gag, but hey, doesn't matter.
My heart was palpitating, and my arms were getting sore, for her sharp claws were being pressed against my arms, yet somehow leaving them unharmed.
"Sorry if I'm getting your shirt wet, well– uh– if you know what I mean– GAH this is awkward," I spoke up, breaking the awkward silence after staring at each other for a long time.
Upon hearing that, she giggled.
Like, a baby kind of giggle.
Who would expect, such a harsh girl, would giggle like a baby, would have a warm spot in her heart. I guess that's what I'm like, harsh, and has a soft spot.
Well, I guess we can now be considered...
Zilong's POV
"A COUPLE?!?!"
