Zilong's POV

"NO! THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING!" I shouted, screamed, threw a huge tantrum. Whatever I could do to express my pure anger, my pure disappointment.

LING.

YOU BASTARD.

HOW COULD YOU DO THIS?!

"Zilong, we're too late! We can't do anything about it! Wait, actually, I think there is a much smarter way. Wanwan can't help us now, she has to help herself get back the person she's fated to, I'm sure she'll find a way!" Chang'e tried to comfort me, but on the contrary, added fuel to the fire.

There was an easier way.

THERE WAS AN EASIER WAY.

"Aiyoh, Zilong, what if they're not fated? What if they're not meant to be? You see, they died an early death because they're together. Why not you see how this Natalia goes with Ling?" Baxia opened his golden mouth just to spew some garbage.

"NO! NEVER! THEN WHO WILL WANWAN GO TO?" I screamed.

"Uh, guys? Do you even want to know what the easier way to get over is?" Chang'e stopped our fight which was getting more intense by the minute.

Wanwan's POV

Finally, we arrived at the train station, and I alighted the train, wearing my cap and shades, dragging my luggage out. The wind blowing my hair, causing me to look like someone out of the cover of a magazine.

Ah, the good old polluted city air, how I miss this.

I dragged my luggage while I strolled my way to the taxi stand. Where is it? I don't know. So, I don't think I can count myself as strolling. Maybe loitering, maybe lobbying, I don't have the guts to ask anyone so I'm on my own.

I wandered and wandered and wandered for what seemed like forever, until I came across a taxi stand.

Oh yay, I found the taxi stand.

I stood there and took out my handphone, which hasn't been used since the ancient medieval times. I found a random charging port nearby and just placed my phone on it (A/N: You know, wireless charging?) The moment I could power it on, I did. I swiped to find the car pool app and booked a ride home, even though I kind of forgot. Within a few minutes, the car arrived. I nearly dented the car while I was lifting up my suitcase to put it in the car boot.

Whoopsie daisies.

Blah blah blah skip all the non-interesting parts.

The car slowly came to a stop as the traffic lights changed from yellow to red.

A heck ton of people crossed the road, but one particular person caught my eye.

Actually, two people.

I have never seen any of them before, but the taller one looked so dang familiar.

That black pixie length hair and two long strands of hair for bangs.

That sword so long it just might be taller than I am.

That– girly figure?

OH MY GOD.

I think I've found out who Ling is!

HIM.

So this madness, this unsettling feeling, was caused by a guy, who has a girl's physique?

Why have I been wasting my time on him?

(A/N: Now, picture the following in slow-mo, like the kinds you see in romantic scenes.)

Just as the traffic lights turned green, I turned my head to stare out of the window again, and just then, he looked back.

That moment of eye contact, was like a surge of electricity, like someone closed the circuit.

That sparked something.

Something strange.

Something unfathomable.

I don't know why, but something was happening.

That didn't last very long though, for he looked away in a split second.

Just that brief moment...

Then, things got awkward.

You know why?

A construction worker peered into the car, and made eye contact with me.

He then fluttered his eyelids and squeezed his arms together.

Oh boy.

Zilong's POV

"Crazy ah?!"
