You know what, I'm just going to finish this once and for all (I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH RESPONSES YET BUT I ALREADY TYPED OUT THE CHAPTER ;-;) Okay anyways last chapter of this WEEHOO.
3rd Person's POV
Wanwan quivered as the cold edge of the crystalline blue sword started pressurising her neck, as a cut slowly formed on the skin of her neck, gradually getting deeper, and deeper. She let out a cry of pain that she had been holding in for quite some time, her face evident of what strength she's using to withstand everything.
A psychotic grin slowly creeped onto his face as he stared into space while dragging the sword against her neck like a violinist playing a violin.
She used her hands to aimlessly grab anything she could grasp (NOW NOT WHAT YOU THINK). Be it his sword (OKAY NOT WHAT BIG BRAIN STUFF U THINK) or his face, it was her last bit of effort she could do to get herself out of that plight left. She knew it was hopeless, with the great difference between their skillsets and power, with Ling as an assassin that has been training even before Wanwan was born, his power could just be higher than Natalia's, with enough stealth, and force, with a touch of elegance that made him such an elite assassin, and she knew it. Yet, that was the little things, that drew her closer to this man.
Just then, everything came rushing back to her, the tales they had to share in their previous life, the stories they made in this life, she knows there will be another lifetime when they would meet again.
A crystalline tear trickled down her cheek like water cascading from wet rocks, and landed on his Defiant sword, and glistened in the bright moonlight that shined down on their faces.
She felt that she couldn't make it any longer, and her white shirt was stained red from the fluids oozing from her cut, the blue blade dripping in red.
Then, the blade stopped in its tracks and was lifted off her neck.
"I'm sorry, Wanwan," he whispered gently in her ear, breathing heavily as he did so. "No, no, Ling, snap out of it! Ling!" She cried, shaking her head vigorously, seemingly forgetting of the plight her neck was in.
"See you in the next life, Wanwan."
It was all too familiar, knowing that someone was going to leave very soon. The same words.
He flew up, the lack of a support causing the weak girl to collapse to the ground.
She looked at the assassin stood above her in the sky, looking down at her like a bird waiting to swoop down at its prey. A blue circle formed around her when he jumped up into the air, his sword in his hand pointing towards the direction his inexistent butt cheeks were, and swirled down, feathers appearing everywhere, like a farmer preparing a chicken from the pen to make stew, you could say.
She closed her eyes, knowing that it will end very soon, her heart filled with disappointment, in herself, in him, and hatred. She braced herself for the impact, which came almost a split second after. His agility and speed worth applauding.
...
Blood ran down her face from her mouth, dyeing the grey cement roof a dark shade of mahogany.
She coughed up yet another mouthful as her eyes filled with hatred stared into his.
"I...hate...you..." she muttered with what little strength she had left, she still couldn't understand why he wanted her life. Maybe she was the one who did something wrong. Maybe she-
Before she could finish that thought, the blade pierced through her back and out from her stomach, forcing out yet another mouthful of blood.
Her body was left out cold, a puddle of blood below her lifeless body which was curled up slightly, like a young child sleeping soundly in a the middle of a ruthless war. Just before Ling flew away, he took one last glimpse at her. His heart wrenched as a teardrop dropped off her no longer moving eyes. He shut his eyes and tried to remove the image of her limp body from his mind, heaving a huge sigh.
He turned his head and saw a shiny figure standing in the corner of the rooftop. He cancelled his initial idea to fly off from the scene and strolled over.
"Natalia, let's go."
DUN DUN DUNNNNN
