Chapter 8

Can someone motivate me to do my homework....

Right now all I want to do is make the old man move in my code AND IT IS SO DAMN HARD so if any of you have plenty of LUA experience I need help pls and ty. 

Ling's POV

"Yes, Zilong, what do you want?" 

"Oh, nothing, just, you know, I don't know..." He turned his head to see the sleeping beauty in the corner, "oh, so that's where she's sleeping. I thought you'd be so cruel as to make her sleep on the floor, or you might've just invited her onto your-" 

"Well could you shut up? I'll come out in a second okay? You don't have to blast your godly voice in my palace," I hushed, not wanting him to wake Wanwan up. 

We walked out the palace door and into the night, walked along the white cement pavement lined with patches of pebbles next to the koi pond that was outside my palace, before we walked out of my palace gates and into the wider route to the North Heavenly Gates, which basically leads to this area where the stars gets controlled by Zilong. 

I always get dragged here, whether I like it or not, so I get as little sleep as a god can ever get. (Well Zilong simply sleeps in the day after his job, but I still have my job in the day to do.)

I'm so done with life. 

"So, what you want me to do this time Zilong? Help you water the plants?" 

"Nah, you'll burn them to a crisp. Why don't you go get Chang'e here for me, she's supposed to be doing something to the moon tonight, and it ain't my job. After that you can just go back and enjoy yourself like how you're supposed to." He dragged the word enjoy with much intent, and all I did was roll my eyes at his dirty-mindedness. 

"Well, yes, I think I will go ahead and enjoy myself." 

"Wait for real?!" He said in a very shocked manner, before quietly, furtively continuing, "you're going to do that thing?!"

"What are you even thinking young man. Probably missing Freya again. Well I'm no Freya so I can't be her substitute for the night... Though if you were feeling that desperate I might just become a girl for the night, just for you..." 

"Oh my god ew no. Just no. Even though you'd make a great female, no one wants you as a one-night stand. Besides, it will tarnish our reputations you know. To make things worse, we're brothers..."

"I was joking, why did you take it like as if I was actually going to do it. Anyways, I'll go get Chang'e, I can't wait to finally enjoy myself tonight." 

"Okay, you go get her, but you still haven't made it clear, are you going to do it or not?" 

"That's for me to know and you to find out. I mean sheesh is it that bad to have a good night's sleep for once?" 

"You sure you're going to get that good night's sleep after that much excitement?" 

"I spend every night with Rambunctious Zilong standing in front of a sky full of stars, I thing I get enough excitement in one day already. I won't need it."

"THEN?!"

I smirked, back facing him, then I walked away to Yue Yuan Palace to get Chang'e, I honestly have no more energy to face two of the most energetic people in history. 

I knocked on her door (WITH MY FIST, NOT CHANTING IT OUT LIKE A WEIRDO WOULD. Not saying I know anyone who does that...AHEM) and one of her palace maids greeted me. 

"Help me tell the Moon Goddess that the God of Night is waiting for her at the North Heavenly Gates, and wish her a good night on my behalf." 

Just as I finished my sentence, a strong force came out of nowhere and pulled me backwards, causing me to lose my balance and almost fall. 

I turned my head and pulled my sword of instinctively, and what I saw made my eyeballs nearly pop out and roll on the ground like marbles in a game...
